Arti,

Right or wrong, it is your decision and slowly you will gain confidence on your decisions.

Savant's support levels are intra-day - for the same day only. So, in case your decision to buy the call was for intraday trade only, then you did the right thing.

In case you are planning to do such intraday trades, look at ITM call - 4600 call - it will give you more bang for the buck.

Purchased 4700 call at 131, by the end of the day sold at 142, dont know right or wrong decision, but took it on my own:rolleyes: as it was not reaching Savant's first support level i.e 4676 so..........

Chitanya,

Me also with IseeSquareD, hopefully not for long ..

You want to put a stoploss to sell some stock which is already in your portfolio and your demat account or you want to short sell?

Also, confused about the margin question - margins are only for intraday.

Regards,
Enygma.

Hi Izzner,

I see that you are using ICICIDIRECT too.:thumb: Can u please tell me how to put a trigger to sell a stock which is already in your portfolio:). i tried a lot of things and couldn't figure out:annoyed:

Also how much Margin does one have to keep ie to hold the BUY???
Thanks

Vijayan,

There are atleast 3 kinds of initial buy triggers

- SMA 5 crosses over SMA6
- SMA 20 crosses over SMA 50
- Price closes above EMA20

Adds to initial positions happens
- After a retrenchement, trend has turned back to uptrend
- Price breakouts a two month high

This is perhaps not comprehensive. The AFL guys - Ken and Anant - can add more and ofcourse the system designer himself ...

Enygma.

Savant,

I think you explained somewhere on this thread about your trading strategy as how Buy signal gets triggered (only for equities not for futures or anything else).. Could you tell me the page/post number, as you may not have time repeat it here?

Thank you
Vijayan

What exactly is cost of carry ?..does it apply to futures ? or only options ?... and how does one interpret the data given ?

eg.. today closing ConCor has an increase in open interest by 400% ..closing 1185 with an increase of 1% in price ..CoC of -91.30 % with a previous CoC at -26.96%

Anyone please ?
