1.. At closing time 4600PE gains in OI....ok.. so how does that indicate support..doesnt an increase in OI mean that people are expecting it to go down , that's why people are buying /selling it ...
Increase in OI for 4600PE means Put Writers are not expecting 4600 to break else they will be in loss for selling 4600PE.

2..Incase market goes up .. writer ( =seller ) of 4700PE stand to lose more than 4800 PE writer... so at spot of 4615 .. 4700PE writer will lose more than 4600 PE... undertood ... hence the lower cost .... but why arent sellers charging more for 4600PUT especially since it came very close to 4601 => any moment it might go further down....hence charge more for a surety ?
Seller of PE will gain if market goes up since price of PE will reduce -- means -- he has sold high and bot low.
Yes charge more for surety, surely, BUT there is more supply since increase in OI so price remaining stagnant -- get it

3...then how come u guys are buying PE / CE and closing them before expiry ?... should nt you guys be doing that with PA/CA ?...
Nifty is traded only in CE/PE -- CA/PA not allowed.
Also cannot exercise even if CA/PA coz - get the logic - u buy 4700CA for 124 when mkt is 4620 -- how do you expect to profit if it is not above your strike price, then how does one exercise!!!!

sorry for so many questions..
We have unlimited supply for answers as like the 4600PE sellers :D

T/U Bunny.
But what i am interested is in yr interpretation of the historical( say 1-2 months ) effort & result from the chart, vol,Type of candle,SM's accumulation/Distribution,supply,sup & Res,target, etc, so that one more chart analysis from pva angle, from an experienced person is available for my guidance.

330-340 is the levels of desperate locked in traders. So as soon as they breakeven, they may be tempted to sell. If the professional money is bullish, he will persuade them not to sell but wide spreads and gapping up at those levels. The next resistance then comes above 380.

Pooja,

I do not take actions on volume - just wonder sometimes and ask the experts like Bunny ...

For starters, you should let the trend decide when to exit. Your own personal tweaks can happen once you are comfortable with the basic system.

I do not let any position be more than 5% of my positional capital - so the maximum stocks I would be long on is 20 to 25. I check them out visually for any exits required. If I have capital, then I need to go hunting for stocks where EMA20 crossovers have happened or if I am lazy, I know Savant will put out the futures triggers. Some of those triggers are based on EMA20 ...

I might move over to Amibroker soon - if I get the time ...

Enygma.

Engyma thanks a lot for ur excellent detailed explanations. Well this explains quite a lot..The system u outlined looks simple to follow. As you said, guess no need to look into lot of other indicators like macd, etc.

One more doubt. Do u take volume into account or EMA 20 price cross-over suffices.

I am sure this system would work well as i completely trust your experience and wisdom. Is there a specific profit percent you look for or u jst let the trend decide.

Also, how do u manage 50 stocks on EOD basis. i mean u do it manually on i-charts or any software.

Thanks
Pooja

Everyone,

This (EMA20 based) system is one of the buy triggers that Savant's system puts out. So, the original gift is from him :)
Just that I tried to articulate it out better :)

Hi SM,

Thanks for the effort... cleared a lot and made me read up some more . Lots clear now.. e.g an increase in puts at a strike price is actually a bullish sentiment and increase in call writing at a strike price is actually bearish ..

Maybe i ll ask more as we go along if you dont mind...

=> selling a 4600 PE today at those levels was a strong bullish sign.

=> selling a 4700 CE would be great too near 4730 levels if weakness is still there / no strong upside at that level.

=> which means selling a Sep 4700 PE would not be bad either if one expects market to bounce back 2mrw /day after onwards..

=> or .. if same levels like later today then.. sell two 4600 PE and simultaneously buy a 4700 call ..to offset premium

tell me if my thought process is right pls.. tho am not quite sure if you 're LYAO :D

for others ..here's the link to read up some more
