Hi Rajesh,

There Is Much Written On The Risks Even Before Lancer & SM Wanted Me To Start The Futures Thread.....& Moreover As A Thumb Rule There Is A Bottom Note In The Trigger Post.

Therefore, It Would Be Pointless Repeating The Same Things Again For Every Other New Visitor Seeking Some Clarification.

It Is Also Observed Most Only Seek Way Out From An Entry They Have Already Taken....Which Is Giving Them Nightmares.

Hello Savant ji,
many people entering new to the market , go directly for stock futures, unaware of the risk/money management.
my view is that , newbies can start slowly by doing(small qty) in cash market and know the risks, before committing any big funds.
your views sir?
thank you

Hi Mr. Savant,

As you rightly said, for novice trader it's very risky to get in to F&O, but myself since 9 months I've active in to F&O, but didn't face this situation i.e., Grasim's demerging cement business {infact, I understood that it is good news for equity shareholders, but as I'm holding futures positions, I'm bit confused}

Thanx for your concern........

Hi Madhav,

It Was A Reply To Rajesh's Query, Wasn't Intended For You.

Ok Now Coming To Your Specific Query....
Looking At How UltraTech Rallied....On Thursday.
Mondays Trading Should Give Us A Good Cue As To Which Way It Is Headed....Because It Wasn't Clear On Thursday.

If It Does Look Like You Are On The Wrong Side Then You Could Do A Pair Trade By Going Long On UltraTech & Going Short On Grasim.

But Don't Be In A Hurry Till You See What Exactly Is Happening With The Whole Cement Business Of Birla Being Consolidated In One Company.

Hi Madhav,

For a newbie it is better to try their luck in Nifty Futures/
Minifty for a year before venturing into stock futures.
Grasim has a support of 2550~2600,take a decision
accordingly.

:confused::confused:????????????????????
Hi Prasadam,

In case of Equaties ,one can sell any number of shares
that one holds, but in case of Futures one has to sell in
Permitted LOTS, which often pose a problem to newbie.
In order to study all intricacies associated with Futures
it is better to trade in Nifty Futures first.
