Hi Rajeabc,

If You Follow The 20/50 Triggers Then Here Is A Method Of Trailing S/L Which Should Work Well In Protecting Your Profits.....

1) Day Of Entry No S/L
2) T+1 You Calculate 50-DMA As On T & Keep The S/L On T+1
3) T+2 You Calculate 49-DMA As On T+1 & Keep The S/L On T+2
4) T+3 You Calculate 48-DMA As On T+2 & Keep The S/L On T+3

This Keeps Happening Till You Reach 10-DMA Which Remains Constant But Changes For Each Day That Elapses, Because You Re-Calculate 10-DMA At Every EOD For Next Day... That Is How One Can Protect The Downside...& Let The Profit Run...& Keeps Losses To Manageable Limits.

HI Sir,

I am very new to technical analysis and tried to learn few of things like candlesticks,MACD,RSI, etc.. however i still think i reqire practical knowledge more like shadowing someone to gain better insight.

I have BIFM providing short term certification courses in technical analysis.

Just wanted to take a piece of advise from you. or if you could suggest me something. I live in delhi.

Thanks,
Rakesh

Hi Rakesh,

a) It Is Not Clear What You Are Looking For

b) If You Are Looking To Assist A Professional Analyst, Then I Am The Wrong Person, Because I Am Not A Professional Analyst & I Just Know Enough To Get By With My Trading Activities Making My Own Decision.

c) If You Think You Haven't Learnt Enough, Then I Suggest Go Through TJ With A Tooth & Comb, You Will Find Treasure Troves Of Knowledge Buried In The Depths Of The Forum.

Re: Stocks To Keep A Close Eye On - Chapter II

Sibu Da,

ABGSHIP is in down trend. It gave Buy Signal on 26-08-09 when it closed @ 203.15 and it should have been bought on 27-08-09. I don't know why you bought on 15-09-09 at that price. The current SL is 230 and has closed still above the SL. It may go up but if it goes below 230 then it is a Sell. Therefore, if you want to add more, wait for it to break the SL and when it reverses after that break down, you can go in for more purchase. Right now it is not worth purchasing more.

Dear Anant, Thanks for ur suggestion. I started my investment as per CH-II from 14 sep 09. That day bot @ 247.05 & next day more qty @ 265.95. Anyway, i shall follow the chart as u have stated before averaging. Can i think of adding if from here price makes a up move? If yes, for how many days 2 observe. Plz suggest. Thanks again. Happy trading.....SM

SM sir,

another way to look at it is,

assuming your investment allotted to each scrip is 5,000/-

your total risk per scrip is 1.5% x 5000 = 75 Rs.

so, you should have invested in one share or maximum 2 shares of ABG ship which entails a total investment of 260- 520 Rs. only and not 3,000/- to 5,000/-

so, I once again suggest you to have a relook at your portfolio and take the suggestions of SG.

cheers.
Brother Prasad, Thanks for your both the replies. Reason for buying that many stks was unable to decide for which one to go for. Hence, I bot a few qty of each (Started following CH-II since 14 sep 09). One foolish thing what i did was sold few of them ( like Dr Reddy, Maruti, Jindalsaw etc) with profit but before achieving target & which i regret very much. Iam going to post my latest position in my next post. If i am not directly addressing Mr SG is...He is too busy a per serving relentlylessly us without any reward. As an aged person i well understand what short of load he is carrying on his shoulder to manage so many threads & what strain he goes through. Hence, I respect HIM & put most of my queries to U , Anant & other friends. Plz bear with me. Mr SG was kind enough to suggest me to post my holdings in his ID. As our Linkon007 is very busy with his new strategy iam not contacting him for Mr SG's ID. What i understood from ur postings is that Position Seizing is most important for maximum gain & min loss. Million dollar ? is how to do it & for that i have to bother Mr SG sooner or later. Thanks again & plz go through my next posting...SM

Savant JI,

Quick question. Based on these recommendations I bought DCB and TATACHEM by bidding for them @ 43.9 and 276.65. Is this what you mean by [email protected] and [email protected]? ON that day by end of trading day, neither had even touched 43.9 or 276.65 which is why I'm asking this doubt

Or did you mean to wait for the price to come to 43.9 & 276.65 before buying? I know it's stupid to buy above market price, but I read your reco as "price is going to shoot up, so bid higher and buy now itself before it goes more high"

If you clarify this point, it'll be much helpful

Thanks,

Re: Stocks To Keep A Close Eye On - Chapter II

Dear Mohan,

DCB buy at 43.9 means you have to place a stop loss trigger order at 43.9. So during the trading period on that particular day, your order will get materialised if the stock prices touches 43.9. Otherwise your order will not get materialise. The idea behind this stop loss trigger order is the stock will move up once it touches 43.9.
