BUT we cannot trade on this Stoch crossover alone ...
Check the same chart on 11 Nov - Stoch crossover under 20 levels but mkt still fell further ... rather a steep fall of around 150-180 pts on the Nifty !!!!!

Again a crossover below 20 levels has resulted in this upmove from 4920 ....

So basically a confirmation from another indicator or two would be much better ...
....but a Stochastic crossover at BOTTOM (approx.10) is a good
indication of BULL market. In case of Bearish market ,the fall is RAPID,
better to avoid stochastic or take help of another indicator like RSI.

Dear brother Murtaza,

Alongwith Stoch, which other indicators (with TF)do you believe (from your experience) should be used to catch hold of up and down move?

Hi All,

I have been going through the threads of daily stocks for trading but unable to understand how the SL trigger and Target are calculated.

Can anybody help me in knowing how the SL trigger and Target for the stocks are calculated for swing and positional trade ?
Hi Hari,

Dig into this thread a bit deeper. You will get the answer.

Generally I use SlowStoch (w/o modifications i.e. 15,3,3 (some use 8,3,4 or 8,4,3 or whatever they are comfortable with) and RSI-14.

Thats that ...

One can modify the Stoch, RSI, BBands etc to suit their style or comfort levels ...

Anant,

I have a request regarding AFL, since it is related to AFL, i have posted it in Amibroker section. "Need AFL for Stochastic...Experts Please help.. "

If you find some free time, please have a look at it. Take your own time. Not urgent.

Regards,
Arvind
Hi Arvind,

Look in the thread where you posted the request for AFL. I have posted the AFL there.
