Stocks To Keep A Close Eye On

PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS..............say, their is a stock which has opened high with the upper circuit, their is no seller but only huge bids from buyers, in such case the volumes traded should be zero but how come it is still shown that the traded volumes are more than zero, does that mean, that some people have sold and some lucky have bought them, but how is this possible to only few buyers, is it because they have placed their bids at much high price than the market price or is their any other way in which they have bought those shares...........in my case, i have known that a share is going to rise for sure, when the market opened, their are only buyers but no sellers, but still the volumes are more than zero, how did those given volumes have been traded, is their any way to buy such shares, like premarket buys, after hours trade, buy at high price...........please help me with this.
Brother;
It means someone sold evn at UC price & those who have placed orders at that price got to buy on first come first buy basis. hope tis clears your confusion.

Hi FK,

a) If There Is A Upper Circuit Then You Can Stand In Queue To BUY @ Circuit Price Or Lower Price Incase If The Circuit Opens

b) Order Will Not Go Through For Both BUY Or SELL If It Is Above UC & LC Respectively.

c) There Are many Counters Where It Comes Out Of Circuit Several Times During The Day. What It Means Is That It Doesnt Remain In Whatever Circuit Through The day.

Hi FK,

The upper and lower circuits are determined on the basis of previous day close. So when market opens, these limits are already determined. So, you can not place an order outside these limits even at the opening time. Even if you have placed an order below UC and the stock goes to UC you can wait with the same price because, as Savant said, the stock may come down in between. If you wish you can modify your order and place it at UC price. Although there is a UC freeze, the order will be executed as long as some one is ready to sell at the UC. The order will be executed on first-come-first-served basis. Therefore, if you anticipate UC next day, it is better you place the order at UC right in the beginning itself and wait. There is a better chance of your trade going through. I have done it by placing the order at UC at 10AM itself and my order got executed at the fag end of the day.

Hi FK,

Trust You To Confuse Things Even More....:)

a) In Queue Means...If The Price Is At UC Then It All Orders Are Matched By First Come First Serve Basis....

b) Get This Notion Out Of Your Mind That orders Can Be Placed Before or After market Hours...It Just Doesn't Happen...Some Brokers Who Offer Such Facility, Those orders Remain In Their Own Order Book...& Released To The Exchange When The Market Opens.

c) All Types Of Circuits Are Demand Supply Driven, While Circuit Limits Are Fixed By The Exchanges...Also One Needs To Be Aware If Something Has A 20% Circuit Today...It Is Not necessarry For It Have 20% Circuit In The Future, Hence Circuit Limits For The Stocks That One Is Interested needs To Be Checked In The Evening ....If It Is Same For Next Trading Day Or Has Changed.

hi addy.

i use sharekhan' s trade tiger terminal & i am able to install & access my terminal on any machine & everywhere, so i guess india infoline may work on a similar note, maybe its the problem with the OS windows 7, as it doesn' t support all software yet. that' s the reason you are not able to install it.

pls check on website or customer care if windows 7 is compatible with the terminal software. ideally your machine' s ip & other info is same & you should be able to run the software with the OS' s it's compatible with.

go back to XP (try vista if compatible) & see it working again
:)

Savant sir and all i have 1 query related to INDIA INFLOLINE.

I have locked my trader terminal software as i had it on my windows xp and when i installed windows 7 it doesnt start. It says my s/w is bound to that machine blah blah.

Anyone had similar issues.I will talk to my broker tomorrow but does any1 have a fix?
