Dear Anant,

I think I have a solution for this data problem of F&O stocks.

I have the data for each of the scrips in F&O right from the day they have been added to the F&O segment and would be more than glad and would feel honoured to be of any help.

Do let me know how do we take this forward??

I would like to know how you are tracking your stocks and generating those reports, because updating those many in one day is quite a problem using excel sheet.

Also if there is any good tool to track the same, like I would enter SL and TP for a stock n it gives a realtime update - alert on them , plus tell when a support is broken / resistance is overcome and sizing of the stocks ?

Hi Abhinay,

I too have access to the FnO EOD Data. What Sekhar meant was not the quality of data but the usefulness of it. I have already mentioned that for any series we get about 70 days data and if we are using 20 day moving average, we will not be able to use the first 20days' data as the average is calculated with data for 20-days. This means nearly one-third of the data is wasted and it is precious part of data. It is quite possible that a good entry point would have already come in the first 20 days but we will be waiting till 21st day to start our calculations. For back testing the data available (for about 70 days) is very small. Data for one series is not valid for another series. This is what was meant by validity of data.

Hi, Thanks for the AFL + AMIBroker..!!, i hav a slight problem in getting the scrips added to amibroker initially, is there any way to import from a list file , guessing someone in this forum has exported it?

Sir,

Buying Price of Shree Cement have been shown as 1870.40, you mean to say we have to just Buy or Sell as soon as the Market opens irrespective of any other factors.
