Hi Freinds ,
I have been testing lazy boy on gbp/jpy with 5 min TF. 3 trades taken with profit of 45 pips. Exit strategy is booking profit of 10-20pips. Edward requested me to post chart here. So here is the chart.

Sunny,

Even I was trying it on 5 Min TF successfully since last 3 weeks. As per my observation , though 5 Min TF is too short for Forex trading. It gives good results if we keep some small targets and then do multiple trades .i.e: ( Quick scalping).

I am not sure whether one agree with me or not. Its my self opinion.

5 MIN TF is good when market is in range (IST Morning till 12.30 PM)and then from 3 - 6 PM .

Longer TF is good when US market opens and till midnight (6.30PM to 12 AM)

Do correct me If I am wrong.

No doubt Edward, your system has special charm. A better system has always one key and unique feature.

That is in case you are in wrong direction it gives multiple opportunities to come out with just nominal loss.

Regards
Raghav

Re: In all this Mess one Good news

Sumit has made 360 pips profit with lazy boy...

He has asked a very interesting question... Lazy boy only gives one entry.. and if i get out of the trade, I have to wait for the next crossover with whatever profit that i booked... (i believe sumit exits with 20 pips normally)

Now that's one way of looking at it.. the otherway that i observed is very interesting...

For retracements, you normally get only one entry and then there is a signal in the opposite direction, but for all the good 60-100 pips trends in eu, one thing common that I have noticed is this....

I enter in 30 m TF, once I book my profits... I open the 1H time frame and wait for a confirmation.... once I get a new signal, I enter and ride the trend... once i book profits, i wait for a 4H confirmation.... if you might have observed all big trends begin in the smaller tfs and spread across the bigger tfs, except few, where almost all of them were waiting for abreakout... there the profits are amazing...
Sorry Edward for asking too much. I got what you are saying .However It would be great if you could pls post a chart whenever you feel free so that it goes in to our mind permanently!!

Raghav

Important Posts: Need help

Friends I need a small help from the active members here.... we should collect the links of important posts which should not be missed and I will display it in the first post... this way people like animedia who are joining late, will at least go through them... churning through 250 odd posts will be difficult... so please help..

Rag_bh, to see your trades, press Ctrl + T a short cut to get your terminal, Metatrader has different working areas you can squeeze them or enlarge them... play around with it.. for sometime...

Sunny, 3 pips for 30 min, 10 pips for H4 and 5 pips for H1, i think we discussed this... 5 min will be decided by Sunny because I don't trade in 5 min... so no idea about that... honestly.

An excellent observation by Raghav about the timing zones and windows of opportunity for swing trading and scalping.... very good Raghav, remember we have discussed about it in the past, and Raghav did a fantastic job of observing it and putting the time zones... thanks a lot Raghav...

Will try to take snapshots of things in the future for sure.... thanks for putting it here Raghav...

Thanks to Sunny and Sumit we are finally back on the main topic.... The Lazy Boy system....

For people who joined late, the system is not Lazy infact it is very fast in response, imagine it gets you the trends in 5 min as Raghav and Sunny has discovered.... we prefer to call it the Lazy Boy because, it's the laziest way of trading forex, easy, simple and consistent.... no need to look at thousand different things.... I normally name systems like this, the other one I have is called The Homemaker... I had tough time explaining forex to a housewife and especially for her, I made a system, easier than this, but not as fast as this (obviously) but nontheless consistent. So we named it 'the homemaker' system of forex trading.... enter a trade before you start cooking, dinner time open mt4 and exit

If I forgot to answer anyones post here, please remind me, this seems like a long post now...

Ankit and Sunny are discussing about some 'Blowing' stuff... Am I missing something here...

Ctrl M - open close Market watch
Ctrl F - Cross hair
Ctrl D - Data window
Ctrl N - open close navigator for indicators
Ctrl A - rearrange indicator window
Ctrl Tab - next charts

Ctrl I _ indicator list

F9 - Order window
F8 - Properties
F10 - pop up prices (seldom use it)
F2 - history centre

Alt I - insert menu
Alt F - file menu
Alt C P ( 1, 5 , 3, h, 4 to open 1m, 5m, 3om h1 or h4 time frame) to choose time frames
Alt C T - choose templates
Alt I A _ Andrews pitchfork
Alt 1 - bar chart
Alt 2 - candlestick chart

Edward,

My success rate is around 70%.I didn't have a target earlier and lost few trades. Then I always aimed at 5 pips. Its always there on the table and I almost got it each time. However due to 2 reasons I have lost on those 30% ocassions.

1.5 Min TF is too fast and needs exceptional speed in execution.I am not a high speed executor.( Thanks for your short cuts.Believe it will increase the efficiency to great extent)

2.Greediness!!( Wanted more)

There is a need for mt4 tutorials, preferably videos. You will get them on the net, but they will cost you a fortune... no alternative as such, if some patient guy starts a thread on mt4, then I think lot many noobs will be helped, but that guy will age prematuredly...

Am happy, that fx-tiger has gentlemanly apologized for criticizing.... good work Advanced anna.

Ankitji aur Sunny saab ye blowing ka kya chakkar hai

thanks octopuspaul, probably you are the only one in the whole planet who likes my kind of sense of humor... :)

I'm using GCI demo account. When i place the order it says successful. How can i see the trade details, my account profit/loss

Re: Alert

Hey Boufalo,

I am in the process of making a pdf and post the entire setup soon...
When the adx is below the red line, its not a set up at all... no trading... normally... now if you have seen the eu, the whole day it's just whipsawing and nothing else, no clear trend on the 30 min tf... that's the funciton of ADX to save us from the whipsaws....

The alert is to get ready to buy or sell.. you are not supposed to buy or sell at the alert immediately .. but to wait for the confirmation of crossover and breaking the high for a bullish crossover and breaking the low for a bearish crossover...
