Saint,

Thanks a lot for the thread. I am re-iterating the sentiments of all of the above. I again am a beginner so am learning a lot. I have just reached page 20 of the thread. However, I have made a Word Copy so far which may be useful for some members.

Pranay,

If you can share your reference, it may be useful to some of us.

Cheers
For some weird reason this sit is not letting me upload the file. Give me a day and I will have it up and running.

Hi Saint,
You are worth your weight in gold ( both in physical and spiritual sense). You are the guiding light both to a beginner and an experienced trader, lost in the rough oceans of technical indicators. The knowledge that you have given us all and its simplicity will be with us for ever.
I personally feel orphaned by your absence.
May God bless you in all your endeavours.

Hi Saint,

I am happy to read your very intelligent and thoughtful guidance to investors in the area of Technical Analysis. Eventhough I have been following TA for years I have not given such a serious attention to minute details explained by you in your Thread on TA.

I now request you to guide me as to which of the following combination of charts has suited you well in a rising trend, falling trend and side-ways trend?

1) Moving Averages (Simple, EMA, WA with 10, 20, 30, 50, 100 days), Bollinger Bands, Envelopes, Moving Average Crossovers, Parabolic SAR or any other patterns drawn on the price line showing the trend of the market.

2) Volume, Price Volume, MACD, RSI, ROC, ADX, William %R, Money Flow Index, Stochastics etc. showing the volatility of the market.

Re: Trading Mistakes .....by Proffitt

Hi Saint,
Superb post. I have a little tiff with this holding period thing. A friend of mine used to trade CMGI all the time. In last 6 years it had a high of $163 and a low of 28 cents, currently at $1.05. Imagine someone holding it ( for that matter a host of other tech stocks) for 20 years.
You can not buy a stock and then fall asleep.
