CLEANEST CITIES IN INDIA

1 - Chandigarh

First cleanest and greenest city in India and is also hoping to become the country's first solar city.
- Chandigarh, a union territory, is the first planned city of India.
- Post independence, it became popular for its design and architecture.
- Nicknamed 'The City Beautiful', Chandigarh is also the first smoke-free city in India.
- The city is covered with banyan and eucalyptus trees, it also has various other varieties in its forested locations.
- The garden city has various gardens like Rock garden, Zakir Hussain Rose Garden, and a parrot sanctuary.
- Due to the lush green forests around the city, the area is a habitat to various animals and birds; both indigenous and migratory.


2 - Mysore

The cultural capital of South Karnataka, Mysore was the kingdom of Tipu sultan.
- Known for its palaces, gardens -Brindavan Garden, shady avenues and sacred temples.

3 - Surat

- The civic authority in the diamond city of Gujarat has set up strict rules for keeping the city clean.
- A major cleanliness drive began in Surat after heavy rains and clogged drainage system spread plague epidemic in the city in 1994.
- Surat has a computerized water distribution and drainage system.
- A modern sewage treatment plant is in place to convert waste to energy.
- Most of the city gets pipelined natural gas thus reducing the consumption of other sources of energy.
- Auto rickshaws and public buses use CNG for operation thus keeping the city air clean.


4. New Delhi Municipal Council - New Delhi

NDMC is the name for the area of New Delhi governed by New Delhi Municipal Council.
- It is spread in an area of 43.7 sqkm and is frequented by tourists and outsiders for business and pleasure.
- After the Prime Minister's cleanliness drive, various steps are being taken to make the city litter and spit free.
- Planting of trees and maintenance of roads is also a part of the agenda.
- NDMC has begun 'May I Help You' service that discourages people from littering and issues a challan to the offenders.
- A door to door garbage pick-up service is also planned to prevent people from disposing household waste on the streets.


5 - Tiruchirapalli

Located in Tamil Nadu, Trichy is a popular cultural tourism destination and an industrial and education hub.
- The civil body initiates various programs like Gold for Plastic to keep the city plastic free.
- Various drives are held in major areas to generate awareness about hygienic practices With so many colleges and a high standard of education, youth is coming forward to carry out cleanliness activities across the city.

1.Calgary, Canada

keep a Clean bowl of fresh water in your balcony, because of summer many birds may die due to lack of water. so please friends share this in your wall & do this at your home. lets preserve mother nature.






If you can do more service to Birds.... Build Nest in a Big Tree Your House in a safe place .....like this...

Lord Hanuma :Last 10 years people in India are in deforestation programme and 10 cores trees destroyed, that is the main cause for this heat summer .....
