Hi Jatin

I saw your post on DLF and wanted to ask this then also. As I can observe, the green line in ur chart is the open price, the red one is the short trigger and blue one is buy signal. ideally with this formula, the distance btween green and red shud be same as green and blue. basicaly we buy at open+x and sell at open-x where x is the avg minm from last 10 days.

How come in ur chart at some days the distance between red-green and green-blue is different?

Also, do share your SL/TP and MM strategy with this method.

Thanks

Whats your filter then? how come it varies everyday? How do you decide on this?

Could u give 1-2 examples of any trades from the above charts? It will clarify how do you trade this?

Hello Everybody,
thanks for everyone's hard work... I did use the AFL but I can not see the values shown for Breakout Long or Breskout short or Long Target or Short Target.

Any idea.. What I am missing. I am looking AFL for Indian markets.

In the chart you provided I can see at the very far right the beginnings of the breakout levels. The reason the levels are not displaying title section of your chart is because you have 'selected' a section of the chart which does not have enough data to calculate the breakout levels. It takes 10 full days of intra-day data to calculate the breakouts, then the values begin displaying on the 11th day.

Also note: You will need to modify the start and end times in the code to match your market. See previous posts in this thread for details on how to do that.

Otherwise everything appears to be working correctly.

Hi, Dryheat, thank you very much for this indicator/exploration work. I have the same problem chiftain mentioned-i dont get color background for the breakout zone, i dont have targets calculated, but only for futures - regular stocks are working fine. I am definetely getting more than 11 days of intraday data, i am using correct timeframes too. It looks like the specific culprit is futures. I tried chosing different modes in paramter, different rounding, made sure i have tick size in the symbol information setup, but to no avail.Could you explain how is your futures/Ib database setup?

yes, i have that part of the setup done already, which is i believe from the page 2-3 of this thread. In any case- i am pretty sure, this part of setup is the same for all symbols, while i have specific problems only with futures, stocks dispaly nicely, with targets.
