This is not right. Futures & Options Spread Orders are allowed.

Error is something else.

What makes you say so? Have you placed orders in futures and options in a single spread order in NOW elsewhere?

The information we provided you was as per the information provided to us by NOW team.

Moreover, we tried the same at our end too and were getting the same error.

My friend used the 2 Legged & 3 Legged orders in NOW with VPS . He even created Collar positions where a future,put & call are involved. This he did with 3 legged spread orders on NOW.

I used to trade with Sharekhan so could not adopt such strategies but thought of taking such positions trading with you , but found that such errors are coming up to my dismay. Such positions can be created separately I know but then whats the use of having spread order window ?

Sorry currently it can not be done using NOW mobile. You can do the same through either NOW Trader or nowonline.in

We checked once again with NOW. They said it is not allowed. Not sure how your friend was doing it. Are you sure he was not using basket orders instead of 2 legged orders?

I'll again check this thing with my friend as you are saying that you have again checked with the NOW team and they have replied in the negative about such an order.

I am disappointed though as this inability of placing a spread order in different instruments at the same time undermines its utility to a great extent.

Can you please explain the margins in layman's terms ?? Rather, can you add 2-3 columns more - CMP, Intraday margin required, delivery margin required.

From the below sheet, how do I calculate intraday and delivery margin for a scrip without getting into the confusion of span margin and haircut and exposure margin etc..?

Agree with you that this report might not be the most user friendly report. We'll keep your feedback in mind. Since this report comes out of a third party software, we will check with the vendor if it can come in another format automatically.

For now, for overnight positions, please refer to column K heading "Total". For intraday positions since we block only 50% of the margin, only half of the "Total" column value will be required.
