Dear Kiranb

Just saw your post on AFL for Pivots today. Though this question of mine is not relevant to this thread would sincerely appreciate if you could guide me on how to incorporate this AFL into Amibroker. I have just purchased Amibroker PRO 5.20 and would like to upload this AFL over there.

Am finding it very difficult to cope up with reading the various threads on Traderji.com and also the books on TA & Userguide of Amibroker especially since i am not a full time trader - am on another job and also just a newbee to TA and TA softwares.

Also, kindly elaborate on what you meant by the bar number and how do i need to go about the same too.

Your spoonfeeding on the above subject matter would be highly appreciated.

Would also be grateful if you could give a me a lead to the relevant section in the userguide too so that i can read it to understand better.

Thanking you in anticipation
Best Regards
Floyd:):):)

PS: Rajendra please forgive me for this minor pollution of your thread as cannot pm to kiranb since the latest unfortunate events on Traderji.com

God Bless you all
Hi fjl24,

"bar number" is total number of bars or candles you want to consider when forming the pivot. ex : if u select 5 as number of bars then pivots which are formed minimum 5 bars are marked on the chart.
"How far back to go" is the total number of bars selected to mark the pivots.

as rajendran said just put the code in the formula editor and save it and drag drop that one from "charts tab" to the price pane. select the parameters u can see the marked pivots.

As i was on holiday trip couldn't reply back to you. Plz don't mind for the late reply.

Hi rajendran,

Nice charts on intraday 5 min pivot method. Open a new thread for intraday trading with pivots using 5 min bars. So that the other scrips are also covered in that one.

yes as praveen said yourself and myvineet are the gems prepared by saint sir (jeweller). As i was the late comer to the trading i missed saint sirs teachings on real time, But learned a lot from his threads.

Brother u not only have talent, You also have good helping hand Plz don't let it go. But the way u did guide me when i was new bee was very good. I can't express in words how much i owe you both. Will pray to GOD to bless both of you and your families.

All the new comers need some help in learning the fundamentals. Now you should take up the masters path so that master can take some rest some time peacefully.(As i feel teaching others how to trade is the synopsis of his teachings. Its not only gaining knowledge and trade.)I can understand you have very less time for this.
I will defiantly post my pivot, TL analysis in your new thread. As i am still in the learning stage that will help me and others.

kiran.

@rajendrani
thanks for the information..but i cant get one thing(this may be stupid but i need to clear my doubt)

yew told that long means we buy
and short means we sell.

but then in the next chart yew told
"We will enter long above the Pivot High giving some space from the exact pivot high level and
We will enter short below the Pivot Low giving some space from the exact pivot low level."

how can we buy when prices are high
and sell when prices are low..

please,please clarify this
