Trading Nifty

Dear PPVsin,

Sorry did not read your post earlier..

I hope you did not buy nifty at the close, as we hope to get it at a lower rate tomorrow or the day after.

With best wishes,

Gaurav Kumar

PS- of course you could think of making a profit in the morning as we may see nifty open up a bit and then you can again buy a bit lower.. OF course if you can handle the way i have described in the thread then a buy at this level is also not a thing to worry at all.
At what levels we should buy today?

Dear Friends,

Nifty future has hit 4504 so far.

Our position is as follows

Booked profit 12000/-

M to M loss 1300/-

I am considering that the nifty has been sold off at 4504 so my positions are closed as of now.

net we are in profit of Rs. 10700/- over an initial investment of Rs. 75000/-.

The returns were made in a falling market and are about 15 % in just 15 days. I am sure you will agree that the returns are very good and had it been a rising market could have been better.

With RKKarnani having endorsed it finally, i have met my objective.....

i am now closing the thread.... It is rather difficult for me to spend time writing on the thread.

I shall be available for another two days in which i shall response to questions..

With best wishes,

Gaurav Kumar

Very good methodology....Gaurav....

The most important thing is.....you had confidence in your trades...

I had joined in late and had carried on the last leg....i.e had bought at 4322 the previous days top and had exited at 4385..the next day

I would request you to please continue...you can just update your buy/sell level without any reasoning during market hours....and can update the trades with your thought process after the market...

Regards,

Raajesh

Dear Raajesh,

Thanks for the comments. I sincerely wish that i could continue, but for the fact that i am presently into two fields full time.. The first relates to the markets and after 3.30 pm am into the education sector..

It is only late at night that i start analysing getting up again in the morning to finalise the levels..

During market hours i often move out for a break, spend time with my family but keep on getting phone calls for advise. As such i find it difficult to write, though i have tried it to the best of my abilities for the duration...

with best wishes,

Dear Friends,

Was busy countering the effect of BNP Paribas bank news. So as a final shot, for all readers, the fall this time could be severe. So have hedged it as usual, but this time the impact is not very well understood. So had to use a combination of hedge techniques.

Each hedge will have a different impact on my portfolio. So i this time i am looking not only to save on M to M, but also to gain out of a possible big downward gap opening...
