Todays CCI trade

Aban offshore was trading weak last few days, so lookig to short it. When it broke below 1200, ZLR appeared on CCI.
Short at 1196 and covered at 1185 at CCI crossing back above -100.

Todays Nifty trade.

Nifty tested 5225 at the open and then drifted down.
Entry at ZLR near 5213.
Exit at plateau formation at 5203.

Hi Sumit

Dont trade for any trend today..its a choppy day...so just scalp off small profits.

There were just 2 signals on CCI today on 5 min chart...one ghost and one ZLR.

If you want more signals, try 1 min chart.

I am using different CCI panel on spot Nifty...yours is nifty futures.

Try using 20 period CCI...whipsaw is less.

The chart posted by me is SPOT Nifty...yours is Nifty futures.
I use spot Nifty since it tests previous levels of high, low and close..not the nifty futures levels.

Adaptive Smoothed CCI

Hi

I have been experimenting with various CCI parameters, and came across adaptive CCI as described here.

CCI has been smoothed and adapted to changing volatility to filter out noise and provide better signals. The adaptive and smoothehd CCI version is available for metastock and tradestation.

I found one for mt4 and am posting the chart here. It is based on the principles given in John Ehlers market cycles books.

If somebody gets a better version of adaptive CCI, please let me know.
