Hi ,the intention of using adaptive smothed CCI is to reduce false signals and whipsaws.
The adaptive CCI takes into account the volatility and the CCI period changes from 8 to 60 depending on the cylce period and volatility, so CCI adapts to the changing market conditions.

Take a look at the following chart comparing CCI and adaptive CCI...so the same patterns appear but more reliable.

I have not yet found the similar CCI version for mt4.

are the results on live trading same as our classic cci....also do you have the afl for the above mentioned cci kksekar....thanks in advance....i would like to backtest it...

I found one for mt4 and am posting the chart here. It is based on the principles given in John Ehlers market cycles books.

Well keskar i think you should bevk test it for atleast 2 weeks after that you can post the result i think it will be good if you can avoide whipshow whith the adptative cci i am also willing to use it but first you should post some result how it os doing have a good weekend .

which settings did you use?

Adaptive CCI peaks and valleys should exactly corresspond to those on price bars.

Classic CCI compared to adaptive CCI does not correspond exactly to price peaks and valleys.....I am too still finding appropriate material about smoothed and adaptive CCI....will post the info after I get some worthwhile results.
