Super smooth Woodies system

I have been testing an adaptive smooth CCI as described in tuckereport.

The adaptive CCI refers to the current dominant market cycle and adapts it to chanfing market conditions as per dominant cycle period. This removes the lag inherent in most of the indicators including CCI.Tucker has mentioned similar CCI patterns under diffenrent names from woodies so the pattern remain the same but they are better appreciated and stronger in adaptive smooth CCI.Refer to cybernetic analysis of stocks and futures by John Ehlers.

Tucker has mentioned bounce off zeroline similar to ZLR. He also mentiones hook at zeroline similar to famir pattern. He mentiones micro W and micro M patterns at top and bottom reversal patterns on unsmoothed version of CCI...they are early warning signs of reversal but have to be confirmed on detrended CCI. I have yet to find detrended version of CCI for mt4 so I have not used it.He mentions three pushes to top or bottom similar to ghost trade.

The smooth version of CCI removes the minor humps and bumps in CCI and provides only solid definite signals...so it avoids overtrading and necessity to take minor CCI pattern. The smoothness in CCI is adjustable using a T3 value . I have used 3 or 5 MA to smoothen the CCI so it removes most of the unnecessary doubtful patterns. I have overlapped static 14 CCI over adaptive smooth CCI for comparison.

I have added the Jurik MA on price chart that is considered to be the best MA considering timeliness, over/undershooting,nonlagging as per www.jurikres.com Read more about Jurik's tools and indicators on his website. All Juriks original indicators are proprietary and the code is a secret. The ones available for mt4 are similar but not original Jurk indicators, however they work well.

I have also used smooth Bollinger bands(Jurik version) so the ranging/trending condition of markets is better judged.

See the 5 min chart of BHEL here.

Static woodies shows ZLR that did not go very far and adaptive CCI ahows a well formed ghost pattern that met its target.

One more noticeable thing is that static CCI peaks earlier than the price action and although price continues to rise, the CCI drifts lower. Not so with adaptive CCI, its peak corresponds with price peak...more like an oscillator.

Here is a Nifty long trade.

Nifty opened today at 5200 and tested 5160-5180 support and bounced from 5160 on a heavy volume upbar.

Entry triggered on a vegas pattern on CCI at 5175 and exited at 5198 at hook from extreme.
