Hi Zerodha,

Can you please reply to these queries ?

How much intraday leverage a broker can give in cash segment ? Is there any exchange circular ?

Does a broker needs to send offered leverage plans in cash segment to exchange for approval ?

J, this lets you get to know what insiders are doing, it helps to know which side of the trade they are on, but do note that insiders may not really be right most of the time.. I guess they would have sold on the bounce in the markets expecting market to top out like a lot of traders would have done in the last 20 days..
Yes, exact opposite e.g. is REIAGRO where promoters are buying & script is going down :)

i also need to get this clarified. i was told the same but since a few days i am not able to place orders as they are getting rejected for want of higher margin. when i called your office one person told me that it could be an error and to get in touch with him the next time it happens. today when i had the same rejection on cover order( margin requirement of around 40% being asked) and i called your office i was told that that is the required margin and not 25%, that the blog entry is old etc. etc. and i notice that here you still claim that it is only 25%

what is the truth.

hello,
This in context with our conversation a couple of times about certain problems i am facing in your back office reports. i am giving out the details of the problem again.

client access--nse fno--- open positions( the final settlement price does not get updated accurately many a times. i did a trade yesterday which isnt showing up . Also,a squared up position is considered open )
--- profit and loss reports ( the final settlement price not accurate. the above mentioned fresh position is seen here though.)

Account summary --- option premium is not shown. (This is a new problem . the figures were getting reflected till yesterday. An explanation would surely help)

As i had mentioned earlier this mismatch in figures/other problems generally happens on the day of a trade execution. Kindly have a look in the issue.
i have sent a mail to you as well with all the details at [email protected] ...Attn Mr Bharath.
Regards

How much intraday leverage depends on the broker, no exchange circular on this.

The only thing that exchange says is that intraday not allowed on T2T segment stocks..

_We will be changing the blogpost because now we settle with exchanges on T+0, have u checked our tool which shows the exact margin requirements : http://zerodha.com/margin-calculator/Futures/

This shows how much required for cover orders also..

So per above post/calculator, 7k won't be enough now, one needs to have at least 8k to buy one lot of Nifty Futures using CO. Right?
