Zerodha,

Stop loss in the cover order cannot be modified kya??? Have tried to modify it in the past, and I modified it today also, but despite accepting the submitted modified stop loss it goes (went) with the old SL. Has happened with me in both stock and futures. I have taken losses a couple of times 'cos of it now . Today I again took a hit 'cos it did not change my SL. Kindly tell CO can be modified or not. Thanks.

**Modified SL was well within the range, btw.
CO SL can be modified only in the price range that appears in the Trigger price range I guess..

Today I was disconnected briefly in afternoon from 11.58am to 12.10pm. The data in data table is missing for this period. (Please see image)

I had logged out and restarted my computer 2-3 times, even after this the data is missing in data table for the period 11.58 to 12.10, why is that so? What is the issue? Anyone else faced such issue today?

The SL can be modified definitely within the range, a lot of our clients doing it..

Can u send an email out to [email protected] with Hari in subject.

As mentioned earlier, all of the information displayed on the contract note is derived from the Exchange files..On the Exchange file there is a "Trade Date/Time" column and "Modified Date/Time" column.. If any counter party has requested for a modification (modification can be client code modification/pro-client modification, order cancellation etc.) then the Exchange updates the time with the last modified time of the order.. For eg. someone has bought 1000 qty of Nifty..Its not necessary that all 1000 be bought from the same counter party..Now if this person who has bought 1000 qty requests for a modification, then the last modified time for all of his counter parties who've sold to him would change.. Attaching a snapshot of the Exchange Trade File..You'll see the Trade Date/Time is different from Modified Date/Time.. Have confirmed with the Exchange.. This is the same explanation given..
Appreciate the detailed explanation. informative.
I need to bring up another problem for which a number of mails have been sent to you. My profit and loss reports intermittently show the same buy/sell price for a contract. this happens for contracts which are carried forward.I am assuming that the buy price is the open price and sell price is the final settlement price. Sending a mail with the today's report. Hope you would follow it up. regards.
