Zerodha - Number One Discount Broker in India

The most important aspect of CO is that the stop loss has to be executed.

Assume that you have taken a position on CO and stock hits circuit against you in a jiffy, what happens to the SL then? It becomes pending and hence is of no use.

One of the reason for not having CO for stocks which have circuits, all f&O stocks have no circuits and hence we have CO on them.

About unlimited exposure, hmm extreme Leverage is what kills a trader, Brokerage, Financial insitution, Government :) ,

I might have vested interest in saying but still, stay away from extreme leverage as much as possible and stay away from brokerages who provide such facility...
What is a circuit?

Hi Zerodha

Just a general query, not related to my trading with Zerodha but process related.

I was opening a new account with a bank. The bank has an application to be filled. The application has two pages for POA.

But apart from the POA contained within the application form, the agent asked to sign Rs 500 stamp paper POA also that too two copies. He said that he needs two copies of this Rs 500 stamp paper for franking purpose.

Now I am not very sure if this stamp paper POA is required or not? Please share your experience and view.

thanks !!
Take care of such actions. If he is an employee of bank, you can ask him to give in writing under bank's letterhead, the purpose of 500 Rs. POA. If you want to open an a/c with bank, why you need an agent, directly go to bank and apply with your PANCARD.

I am opening a new bank, demat and trading account. The person is from bank's securities division.

The Stamp Paper POA mentions the name of the securities division. But I am not comfortable signing a separate stamp paper POA, as they already have a POA in the 3-in-1 application also.

Also the POA which is part of the application is much more elaborate and mentions their rights in details. The stamp paper one just says POA in securities favour (does not give their rights in detail)

Zerodha do not ask for this stamp paper POA. they only ask for the POA which is in the application form. :thumb:

so my question is that:

a) Why is the bank's security division asking for a separate stamp paper POA?

b) For the POA, is it required to give it additional POA on Stamp Paper or the POA on white paper which is part of application process is sufficient?
(the agent said Stamp Paper is required for Franking, I do not know whats franking !!)

There was an issue with the Mail server because of which the contract notes weren't delivered to few clients.. However they've been resent..With regards to the SMS that you had to received from NSE, if you could send an email to [email protected] mentioning your client ID, will get it checked.. Alternatively you can also subscribe to EOD SMS alerts from Zerodha at a nominal cost.. You'll have to login to your backoffice, click on My Profile and activate the service if you wish to..

@Zerodha ZT doesn't exit properly it always gets crashed in Windows 8

Run as administrator in Windows 7 and Windows 8. Also exclude C:\Program Files (x86)\Omnesys from antivirus RT scan.
