Hey Amsin,

Which MTM discrepancy? Are you talking about what you faced or are you referring to what punter has put up?

Because there is no MTM discrepancy during market hours, yes on the weekends, and after market closing, it can show weird numbers..
Hi Zerodha,

We can understand that the discrepancies can happen after market hours. But you guys have consistently proved that the data you guys provide is below par. Please check all my postings addressed to you. Here we are concerned about what happened in the case of punter. Can you please explain. System time in the image shows that it happened during the market hours and 28th Nov was not a market holiday. Here is the link if you haven't seen before

Amsin , are you serious? You have been alleging things, for not even your own position and all of these just by assuming?

Admin position : sell avg : 6094.20, buy avg : 6105.60, net buy qty : 50, net sell qty : 100, net qty : -50, LTP : 6067, MTM : 790 (MTM should be 1360 right? ie; (6094.20-6067)*50)

The above calculation of yours is completely wrong, this is not how you can assume MTM is calculated. * Just so you know what you are doing wrong, you are calculating the buy average price as the LTP which is not, buy average price will change as soon as the position is taken and it won't be 6067...

On that day, when this screenshot was taken:

1st position: Short at 6100.05 and bought at 6105.6 = Loss of Rs 277.5

2nd Position: Short at 6088.35 and LTP on the screenshot: 6067, profit : 1067.5

MTM : 1067.5 - 277.5 = Rs 790

Amsin, we have built this business working very hard, and when you allege, and post something on a public forum without reasoning out, you are hurting us indirectly. Imagine the many people who might have read and thought there is a problem?

Anyways, hopefully I clarify,

Have a blessed night,

Cheers,

Guys, isn't this discrepancy that serious? Punter786, this answer from Zerodha in that link happened to me yesterday. Very dangerous. Zerodha please advise on the MTM discrepancy.
As akhilll mentioned, I've not faced any issues with MTM during market hours.. Yes on Saturday's it shows weird figures.. Maybe its case specific to Punter?

Hi Zerodha,

As previously said I'm not against anyone or any business. You should have attended the concern before itself, so that, these chain posts wouldn't have happened. That actually clarifies my concern. For a layman, the data presented in the screenshot can be misguiding. Can it be calculated and displayed trade-wise for a better quick view?

Do you have any advise on what happened to wrong chart data which I have addressed to you? No answer till this time.

Forget it, anyhow bye Zerodha.

Thanks again.

Can we just side the issue as a single user specific? That can be a dangerous attitude that if it happens to me it is serious and the other way not. Even Zerodha is silent on this issue; we should consider their silence as the acceptance of glitch from their side. My view...
I am just telling that MTM glitch during market hours may be user specific, which means that a particular user has experienced it and may not be observed or inferred for all other users.

issues such as technical glitches in ZT are generic, applicable to all users, whereas issues such as above are user specific, which means that they occur once in a while to any single user. hope you got my point.

Have observed this in the recent few posts... People lose patience so fast.. You don't see a reply to a post and they go rampant.. It leads to a feeling of hostility which isn't nice..

I think brokers nowadays in addition to having a mandatory Compliance officer should also appoint a Traderji Responder :)

Let Peace Prevail :)

lol yeah.. having a zerodha rep in traderji is an extra privilege to traders and an added opportunity for them to get closer to their clients. we are supposed to keep it that way. any user specific issues, take it up offline. generic issues, we can discuss online. as simple as that. :clapping::clapping::clapping:

Hi Zerodha,

I would like to mention that you are doing a commendable job here in this thread. I do understand that it has been hectic here in the last few days, but i also want you to understand what it has done to your clients like me.

When this major issue came up some day ago I got a bit anxious, but still i had faith on Zerodha. That faith has been created over time...by the way you have handled my problems and all other major problems in this thread. Today as this issue has been resolved, I can assure you...my faith on you has increased a bit more...even though i keep a sharp eye on documents like contract note, ledger etc etc:D

Now i would like you to keep the following things in mind...

1. Whenever any major issue comes up, most of us would be looking for 1 major thing...INTENTION. The first question that comes to our mind is...was there an intention on your part to cheat ? All other things ( platform hanging, data not updating etc etc) are tolerable a few times. For these things we will fight with you, will argue with you...but we will stand by Zerodha. But if we come to conclusion that the intention was to cheat, then most of us will end our relationship with Zerodha immediately. So whenever you have your weekly/monthly internal meetings, hammer this word into your employees' head..."INTENTION".

2. Secondly, look ruthlessly to your risk management policies and practices and the convergence of technology and these policies. Because even with the best of intentions, if your RMS has some glitch, then it can do a lot of damages to us.

3. Finally focus on the execution side....the platform development and its glitches

Then come to traderji and listen to our complaints and provide solutions :D:p

And yes, be brutally honest when any issue/ problem arises.

And i hope at least the next few days will be smooth and easy for you on traderji :p:D

Thanks
