Zerodha - Number One Discount Broker in India

Thanks for the clarification. Opposite of open position squares off, agree and fine. But the moment the system accepts the positions without transaction password, isn't a system glitch and dangerous, as if I'm not in my seat with screen not locked ... think, raising this concern as you didn't mention anything about this part in your briefing, but has in your initial post.

I was going through the images, one more clarification
I don't think the Transaction password is asked for every order that I place.. It would be annoying if it did wouldn't it?? Imagine having to key in a password every time I had to place an order..So much to think before placing an order..add to it transaction password??

Transaction Password is asked for FIRST trade only.
Long ago,I wrote about a round-way method to do save password.
Just ,place a one RELIANCE share for just Rs.500.Transaction Password is asked to
place it.Then CANCEL it.Next time onwards ,PASSWORD is not asked. You can do it
well before ,you start trading.

After talking to Mr.Rohit, Mr.Nagaraj, Mr.Hari (Dealing desk manager - +91 80 4040 2020) for 2 hours, I decided to quit Zerodha (account closure requested) as with many service providers - client suffers and decided to continue with my old full-service broker who has given me consistent data integrity and service. The only catch for me with Zerodha was the per lot brokerage and floating chart window.

Disgraceful software glitch...very bad :argue:
Zerodha , please give your explanation.
We've been interacting with our developers regarding the stability of ZT on Vista. The basic premise is that ZT is developed for Windows and as such will work on any Windows version as long as it's XP and above.
The problem, though, is with the version of Vista you could be using. We believe that Vista had a lot of issues with piracy and quite a few programs didn't work well when the copy of Vista wasn't genuine.

My advice is that you move to a newer, more stable version of Windows - preferably 8. Or you could make yourself available so one of our guys can call you and do some thorough troubleshooting. :) Write to us at [email protected] saying when you'll be available for a support call.

Admin position : sell avg : 6094.20, buy avg : 6105.60, net buy qty : 50, net sell qty : 100, net qty : -50, LTP : 6067, MTM : 790 (MTM should be 1360 right? ie; (6094.20-6067)*50)
Correction: Zerodha has just clarified in the previous post that the one Will Not square off the other!!

Yes, there was 100% definitely some glitch that day. Hope they have fixed it. Other wise... http://www.traderji.com/brokers-trading-platforms/89121-zerodha-part-3-a-151.html#post905255

Thanks for making that point about the transaction password. I should have raised how that was allowed, but I was so much into understanding how those trades etc. got executed that many such important queries got left out. Zerodha should set the record straight about it now.

On the admin position, well I can only scratch my head like I was doing that day. Wanted to ask them about it but forgot :)

Maybe the two @TradeToLearn and @Akhill can enlighten us about that MTM figure.

Guys, isn't this discrepancy that serious? Punter786, this answer from Zerodha in that link happened to me yesterday. Very dangerous. Zerodha please advise on the MTM discrepancy.
