Stock X moves from 90 to 100 :

Trade 1 ) Buy at 90 and cover at 100.

Trade 1a ) Sell at 96 and cover at 92. (Note, this is a sub-trade or trading the pullback)

Will this require only 7k+ limits for order?
How much margin, will depend on how much quantity of stock you are trading. Buy yes, for now, you can take opposite positions using cover order and margin required will become almost 0.

But Guys, it is not a very smart trade to take, you will be paying double taxes and brokerage.. You rather just exit it and then enter again..

Sachin, has moved to Singapore, and trying to push for institutional side business, he is part of a sister concern.

Bharath is Venu Madhav's pet name.

Hari, is among another 4 people who didn't want their photo on the site..

Hello Zerodha,

At 9:30 AM none of the options were working in ZT and only ticker was moving. I could not place buy or sell order and was admin position(F11) option was not working. Can I know the reason for this?

I think those who bought at high would got screwed, since they could not have exited on time.
Must be an isolated case, didn't really receive any complaints on this.. We have created a group : [email protected], can you shoot emails to this, as soon as you spot any issues..

It was just a hypothetical question to understand as to how the system works.

Another question :

Like we get 2x or 3x margin for intraday trading, Z has 10s of thousands of clients - can Z use customer's limit as their margin for their internal trading.

Will Z do it or not is not the question. Can they do it :D

2 cover orders Vs 2 separate trades : taxes and brokerage will be same, how double
