Insiders of a stock know more about it than anyone else, use our proprietary ZITIR algo to know what Insiders are doing with their stock holding to get the trading edge. #Empowerment http://zerodha.com/z-connect/querie...r-tool-to-help-you-spot-trading-opportunities
The announcements / disclosures of insider trading are now a days used by promoters to dump the shares e.g. promoters continuously buying in relatively small quantities but in lakhs so that bodies corporate (may be called as operaters) can offload in millions which had been seen in Reisixten & currently seen in Reiagro.

Zerodha,

Can you explain why there is a difference in calculated margin when using SPAN (Rs: 37225) & equity futures(Rs: 36737)? Please see attached images.

Also, why is the margin different for buying & selling?

Are NRML positions auto-squared off on expiry day? If so, any particular time?

Avish, The futures file (36737) is updated once a day, exchange typically changes this 5 times a day.

SPAN gives you real time values, and hence there would be variance, there could be upto 5% variance.

Yes, margin required for buying and selling can also vary, this is based on SPAN rule followed by NSE.
