I have three queries. All urgents.

First. Today I bought 2 CE Minifty calls (which is 40 IN quantity) of 5700 at the rate 50. I had bid for 50 and luckily I got that. My order was NRML. So if I do Not square off this position today, will Zerodha's RMS square it off automatically for me? Or convert it into a carrying position in my demat?

I need to know that absolutely urgently. I want to carry forward my this position, as this call is now trading at 62 and I am in profit. Making money :)

As an aside, why did I Not receive SMS when this order got executed? Do I need to activate alerts for every order?

Second. I have some shares in my demat and want to sell them. But I do Not want to sell All of them. Tell me how to sell the specific quantity of these shares and at the price I want to.

Third question. I had approx 5000 rupees in Zerodha account. Currently in RMS limit's cash credit it is showing 4868 as credit and net. My query is when I had bought two CE calls at 50 then should not rupees 2000 got deducted from it as you provide no margin for Options? Credit should be around 3000 or less, no?

Many thanks :)

Zerodha,

Can you please clarify these doubts ?

Q1: Do you auto square off positions before expiry to avoid physical delivery hassles in Commodity Trading ?
Do you guarantee that all positions are closed before expiry date to avoid physical delivery hassles ? If so when you do that ? Is it 1 hr before the expiry time ? or whats your time ?

Q2: Does Zerodha trader provides MCX IEOD charts ?

Q3:How does a chart in Zerodha Trader different than NEST PLUS Plugin chart in NOW ? Do we get more number of days in intraday charts in Zerodha Trader than NOW NEST PLUS plugin chart ?

Q4: Is there any possibility to publish ZT Mobile this month ?

1. Yes we square off and we do it before it goes to compulsory delivery.. Around 6 in the evening on that day

2. yes charts provided.

3. Charting is very similar, on NOW u don't get MCX, but on ZT you get all segments..

4. ZT mobile for equity we are hoping comes through by next week, for MCX might take another month..

If you are buying as NRML and if system let's you buy, it means that you have sufficient funds. Once bought as NRML, no position will be squared off, automatically it will be held to the next day, actually till expiry or you selling. When trading f&O there is no concept called demat account, all contracts stay in your trading account itself till the expiry. So if you do intraday or overnight, you don't need any demat..

You get trade confirmation messages only end of day..

To sell specific quantity, click on the share, choose the sell, and select product type as CNC, write the quantity that you want to sell and the price.. thats it..

Yes, once the day process is complete, that money gets debited from your trading account..

Thats a great news. Thanks...you said equity ....... I guess I may not be able to trade NSE F&O then.....any possibility to get F&O enabled in ZT Mobile by this month ?

Also ...can you please tell if my limit order is not filled in F&O segment and If I don't cancel it
(i)do you send margin statement for the day although no trade occurs ?
(ii)and is there any charge if order is not filled at the day end and user don't cancel it.

Zerodha,

Problem: what is the quickest way to find the BUY price of equity share bought 2/3 months back ?

You know I checked View Demat Holding in back-office login....It does not show the BUY price of equity share there.

I find it difficult to search through contract notes from jungle of contract notes for this equity BUY to look up the BUY price.

Can you suggest a quicker way to resolve this problem ?

My query is also somewhat related to Megapixel's query. I wanted to ask this yesterday, but I forgot. Is there a way to know in back-office about which trades in trading account and shares in demat are in profit and loss? Or Is there any other way to do that other than through contract note and memorizing. If there is, it will really help a lot.

Thanks
