of course take my id - RM0441. when calling me plz take care that the person should be well versed with the technicalities. and my bandwidth is 716 kbps. downloadable speed 90kb/s. just checked from speedtest.in .i use reliance datacard. big main problem my nest trader hangs. second small problem chart takes long time to load.
Rageish, you have answered the question to your problem. 90Kb bandwidth, isn't good enough for a downloadable platform, you are bound to have disconnections and even with the chart, there is a lot of data to download and will definitely take a long time to load. I have a vodafone data card which claims to be 2mb, but I never get more than 150kb.. Data cards are not good enough..
.

mrageish imo you are mistaking about your downloadable speed, it would be 90 kB/s if your broadband bandwidth is 716kbps. the confusion always comes b/c in speed test result and telecom plans mention speed is in kbps but when we download either thru browser or torrent it shows speed in kBps. the difference is 8 times, means for 512kbps connection download speed mentioned in browser will be around 512kbps/8 = 64 kBps. so in your case if it is around 716/8=89.5, you are getting full bandwidth.

and also 90 KBps (716 kbps) is more than required for any software including nest/ztrader, maybe there are some other problems or any other program utilizing bandwidth. i advice you to call zerodha/sachin again and tell them to check your system thru TV as your speed is good enough.

vikrit my bro..thanx for your concern. zerodha people and sachin are very busy people, they dont have time for clients like me. if you have read all the posts, zerodha asked for my client id which i had provided. but till date nobody has called. the only person who had called me was the person who opened my a/c, that also after thrashing from me. and he told me that he had a word with technical team and they can do NOTHING about it.

anyways... he advised me to use the express trader, their online html trading platform, so using that now. like i previously said zerodha is just like another broker...very good in a/c opening(in just one day), but lagging as far as servicing is concerned.

we are full time traders so should concentrate on trading and should find our own ways to deal with problems always...:thumb:

Price Ladder modification

In Bank Nifty the BID-ASK rates as BIG as ,even 2 Rs,sometimes.
(Either FUTURES or OPTIONS).But your PRICE LADDER the difference in each step is
as low as 0.05Rs ,same as tick size.Do you think such a low value is desired?
Better leave it to the user ,to choose his OWN value.

Hi Zerodha,

I was comparing prices of RKSV and yours. Therefore I entered same quantity, buy and sell in your and RSKV calculator.

However, I was puzzled to see that the service tax, Higher education cess and education cess were coming different.

While I see that you both charge different transaction charges, However, can you also vary above deduction. I guess there is some mistake in one of the calculator

Is stamp duty, which is not included in the calculation, only applicable for users from Karnataka or is Broker specific?

thanks,

Hi Zerodha

I know commodities are cash settled in Zerodha to avoid delivery hassles..

when we receive the ECN , Do you put any indication in ECN that all transactions are cash settled ?

I was going through some article in google ...please see this excerpt ..

"...All the exchanges have both systems - cash and delivery mechanisms. The choice is yours. If you want your contract to be cash settled, you have to indicate at the time of placing the order that you don't intend to deliver the item. .."

I know we don't have any such indication facility in Nest Trader .

Do we have any documentation around the web trader?
Today punched in an order for Put Options with a limit price of 23.50, but that got triggered at the market price of around 22.90.
When we enter a limit order, is that not supposed to trigger after the price is crossed?
