Hi Zerodha,

Have a small Doubt

Margin required for positional Nifty future trading is Rs30500

Assume I have Rs 31000 in my account and buy 1 lot of nifty future.
Assume i bought Nifty at 6000 and now it is trading at 5800, what amount should i bring in my trading account. When will you automatically close the trade if i dont bring in amount.

you lost 6000-5800 = 200 points ...i.e 200 x 50 = 10,000 Rs

First load you a/c with this loss as soon as possible ...otherwise position will be auto squared off by 3.20 PM on ZT

What is traded on MCS-SX ?? Currency ?? Any advantage over NSE-CDS ??

currently currency....but they are going to launch Equity & Derivative soon.
Media sources says they want to start from January ....their helpline is tight-lipped regarding dates though.

There is no SPAN Calculator in NOW. Span Calculator is available in ZT only.

I have done the SPAN calculation for you.

Added your two orders and here is the Total Margin required.

please note , you can not put the rates because rates are pulled real time basis ....

I don't think there would be any separate brokerage charge .

separate order numbers to square off individually ...so..

20 + 20 + 20 + 20 = 80 + STT + charges

Zerodha might tell the exact figures ...just my wild guess

I guess the breakeven would still be Rs. 1 per leg.
