Dear Zerodha Friends,

I have the excel sheet of intraday margins given on equity stocks.

Suppose , A stock is having max of 9 times margin. I want only two times margin. How do I select that in zerodha?

you buy less.

by margin ...your a/c size just increases....however its up to you how much you want to use this increased fund...you are free to buy less if you want

for example, if you have 100 Rs in your a/c ...by 9x margin ..fund increases to 100 x 9 = 900 Rs ...i.e you can buy shares max of 900 rs .....you may buy less .

@ SOFTTRADER: just to clarify....day before yesterday I did not receive the contract notes...so I was just on the verge of shooting them a mail..then all of a sudden I decided to check my SPAM FOLDER...my e-mail account is with GMAIL...And to my pleasant surprise I found my Contract notes in the SPAM FOLDER...In GMAIL...the process is to go to each OF ZERODHA's mail...and then mark it as not SPAM...From next time onwards one again starts getting contract notes in the INBOX...

So sfttrader I will request you also to check your SPAM Folder ..and if contract notes are there mark it as not SPAM and again you will start getting contract notes in your INBOX..this has happened with me..so decided to share it..

Extremely sorry Zerodha...at the same time I would like to say you a Big Thankk you that whenever I have written to you that I have not received the contract note..without bothering to see whether there may be some problems from my end also ...within 10 minutes you have complied to my request...and people like me who are so quick to jump to conclusions even for no fault of Zerodha....I simply thank Zerodha that you have never tried to bring our faults to notice..

I am using yahoo mail. And every time I check my inbox I also check the spam box too. I made myself a habit to check the spam box regularly. I have also added ""[email protected]" in my address book. So that it doesn't go to spam box.

There must be some problem with Zerodha, sometime I receive ECN after 2 days. Sometime I have to request for it. Zerodha please look into this.

Limitation on scrip numbers (which is very LOW)

Zerodha suggested in one of the posts here in this thread that you can send
a mail to them and request for increasing the number of scrips per market watch.

So, it is possible and can be set from their end.

not like that,it should be uniform for all.There was no restriction in NOW.

Which time frame u trade (on gold n crude oil) n which charting platform u use?
Put ur ZT terminal n charting platform(with high quality datafeed like esignal) in same window n trade sub 5 min fractal (scalping in short)for a week n then u won't say i'm kidding.
May be it happen only once in a day or 2 but it happens.
BTW esigal data feed ud cost min $137/month plus exchangefees,$12/month for MCX , but then wat z alternative for people lacking a pair of sharp eyes ?

Yes, you are right. If it can be tweaked, it should be extended to all without
insisting on a special request.

But NOW also had a restriction of 55 scrips per market watch, if I remember right.

I am still facing this issue. I called up support on Friday, and got the contract notes for last Monday to Thursday. Guess I will have to call up again to get Friday's contact notes.
