Zerodha,

Small correction to your software.
"Today I placed order for 100 options.50 got executed at the desired rate and
rest 50 were shown pending.When I cancelled this order (50 qty),it showed
the '100 as CANCELLED' in order book."
Actually it should show as 50 as cancelled.Please rectify this.

Ravi, does the setting remain saved ? Mine does not; maybe as the exit from ZT is mostly via the crash mode.

@webber: it is Preferences -> User Settings -> Order : Product Type
Yes it does.
Just login and do the settings change and then exit without doing anything else.
May be it will do a successful exit.

yes it remains saved ..product type , order quantity etc can be made as per requirement....:thumb:
mine also always have to close via crash mode ZT/NOW both....."this program is not responding" ......."close the program"/wait to respond".....:mad:
sometimes it says application exit succesful ..I feel relived...

same for me also, unsuccessful/forced exit most of the time.
@zerodha, Can something be done?

Since the straight path continues to not work, I am going to try changing UserSetting.ini directly. Maybe, this is the right option:

Code:
[ORDER PLACE]
CliPro=CLI
OrdType=LIMIT
[B]ProductType=NRML[/B]
or
Code:
[DEFAULT_PRODUCT_TYPE_NSE]
[B]VALUE=NRML[/B]
or

Code:
[BMSETT_PRODUCT_TYPE]
[B]VALUE=NRML[/B]
or
Code:
[DEFAULT_PRODUCT_TYPE_MCX]
[B]VALUE=NRML[/B]
Can someone please confirm.
