I have opened an account with Zerodha and I have installed ZerodhaTrader_V.3.10.57.97.7. I need help on following points:

(1) There is an option for registration in Nest Plus. Is it free or we have to pay for it ?

(2) Only intraday chart is visible in equit as well as commodity segment.
When I try to see historical chart it give me following error window:
"Request : nexus_db_vwap, Process:Nexus_vwap, Error:
Request unkown. Please contact Administrator
"

No mate. You have assumed that I blamed them. I recommended it to 4 of my friends.

Though zerodha explained, I couldn't quite understand.

Here is what they said:
Your shares are under T1 Holdings now. By tomorrow evening they will come under T2 Holdings and on monday under "positions" and then you can sell it off.I was shocked.

why can't i sell it on the next day itself?
Is it like there are few stocks we cannot sell away the next day but only after 2 days? If yes, how do I identify such stocks?

Thanks for your swift reply mate.
Regards
Ganapathi,

Read this:
http://www.zerodha.com/Test/connect/blog/2012/11/btstatst-buyacquire-today-sell-tomorrow

Also this bit on the blog:
Stocks sometimes are moved to T2T Segment(Trade to Trade Segment) by the exchanges to curb speculative interest. When a stock is moved to T2T, you will have to compulsory take delivery if you buy and give delivery when you sell. When a stock is moved to this segment, you will not be able to do intraday trading or BTST/ATST trading.

How do you know if a stock is moved to T2T segment? : If you look for the stock in either of the exchange websites, you will see if it is in normal market or T2T. Also another way to know this is, while adding the stock on the marketwatch, you get an option to choose EQ or BE, EQ is for normal market and BE for T2T. If the stock is trading as BE and not EQ, it means the stock is in T2T.

hmmm... Confused... It cannot happen, especially on nifty.. Last time margin for nifty went up during the day was during those mayhem days in 2008 and that too by not more than 15-20%..
If you are saying a popular broker and this, there must be some other side to this story, which your friend hasn't probably told you..Ideally shouldn't have happened for nifty from the time it started trading, that the margin goes up by so much during the day..
Thanks Sachin for the reply.
I will contact my friend and will reply in the evening.
If you think he is hiding something, what could be the other side of the story. But I dont think he is hiding something. Will let you know.
In the meantime what sort of details do you want, to substantiate this incidence. I will ask him those questions/details, in detail and will post here.

PS Please let me know if it would have make any difference if the trade happened in Minifty instead of nifty.

This is not a fair practice. .... this way biggies has become big through this channel for a long time untill zerodha , rksv came to the field and the game changer ....will it be possible to post the name of this infamous broker.....blacklist and avoid it.

omg..guy is profiting and margin is increasing ....awesome tricks.
Thanks MP for showing concern.
My friend may not want to disclose the name of the broker at the moment, as he is still doing trading with the same broker, But will disclose the same in near future.
Thats why I have posted this query (on his behalf) to Zerodha's thread so that I may get first hand information on the working of brokerage house on these issues.

No sir, I am using equity trading NOW software of another broker not Zerodha. If I have to trade commodity through Zerodha.... Is it possible to open Zerodha Trader Software on my terminal. Or it will clash with the NOW software ?

If NOW is with another broker, then it will not clash.

Whether NOW is with Zerodha or another broker it doesn't matter. NOW never interferes with NEST :)
