To zerodha,
Earlier you promised reducing transaction charges, and introducing A brokerage plan for high frequency traders. It seems zerodha moving @ snails pace.As earlier pointed out by MYINVESTMENTZ,YOU are not cheap to high frequecy small trader with one lot trading.Give the small trader, the competitive advantage by introducing fixed brokerage plan and reducing the transaction charges.

i use to think i am quite an intelligent guy but fail to understand you quote would you please elaborate
That was not for you.
Someone has asked for fixed brokerage plan. Zerodha may not do it. I guess they wont follow the RKSV footsteps. Both are popular brokers but their business model are different. And they may not intersect each others domain....its like clsh of the brokers

I know it was not for me i am not titan mere pass to titan ki ghadi bhi nahin hai
just wanted to understand what it means

What ever zerodha should do they should reduce trXcharges first
and when they provide margin against Dmat stocks i might also join them

I have to sit on this chair for 9 to 330 as the orders are fed in the system
so when i in my free time try to make zerodha a Better broker :clapping:

ZT User blocked

I operate multiple ZT accounts, with a single ZT install i.e. not logging in simultaneously.

Last Thu or Fri, one of the accounts had the password due to expire. So I changed it early morning. When trying to login midday, a dialog popped up and the program immediately shut down. Tried it again; it was too fast to read what the dialog read before shut down. This was before the 2FA questions. Anyway, called up support and they said that the account was blocked. Could login with my previously changed password after it was unblocked.

Yesterday evening, another account had a similar problem. The log area said that access was denied; and user was blocked. Fortunately, this time the behavior was different: ZT had not shut down, and the login dialog stayed there. Could read the log message. Had to call up support again.

Besides bringing this unusual behavior, occurring twice in quick succession, to your attention, I also want to add that support seemed unconvinced that I had not entered the wrong username/password thrice (or whatever count).

For the account blocked yesterday evening, I wonder if the reason is that I received a new account opening welcome letter today (along with new password and Zerodha cares certificate). Fortunately, the letter correctly states the account opening date as near the beginning of this year. (And this is not a migration.)

This is primarily a heads-up and FYI.

Zerodha,

Does MIS order accepted for options buying (if so what is the margin).

Today in my trade book I noticed that NIFTY PE 5800 option buy of 40lots got executed for MIS order type, which I have done in the intention of buying in normal order.
Since it was placed from web and I didn't noticed the order type that time(assuming the order type would be normal by default as i always trade using terminal). Because of this the SELL order of 40 lots for the same option with normal order type got executed as new short entry (which I've done in the intention of closing my previous open position).

The BUY order (MIS order) got closed by admin at 3.20 and the sell order for 2000 (NORMAL type) also squared by zerodha except of 250 (3lots).

Im confused about the margin im having now, because I believe margin for carrying one lot of nifty option (short position) would be around 25k-30k.

I still wonder how the above scenario is possible especially when my margin was only around 50k.

Again not to criticize you but when there i have a problem my brokers pick up the phone and execute my orders on neat . please dont think that i am trying to show u in bad light but not picking up the phone by broker and a person like me having open positions of a 50- 100 lots of stock futures and 1000 s of options

I WILL HAVE A HEARTS ATTACK I AM ALMOST REACHING 40 this year
and 40 rs brokerage should not mean 400000 rs of heart treatment

Sytems going bad is Ok but not answering the phone and not executing the trades is not at all acceptable

Now one more thing you should stop accepting new clients till you get
some more man power that can be only 15- 30 days
that if one hundred calls you receive every 5 minutes and in one hours you get 1200 calls to place orders you can place these 1000 to 3000 orders in those one hours

when my system goes down at religare with my end or there end when i call they pick up in 2nd ring and they tell me koi trade hai to bataiye sir what trade has to be done please let us know

This has to be case with ZERODHA Also you are cheap broker for only big traders who trade 10 lots of futures or options you are not cheap for a person trading one option or future ( in some case expensive then many other brokers) please dont make that small guy suffer

You have made a mark for your self even though i will not be able to trade with you guys but keep your reputation before monetary aspects
are you an individual retail trader or fund manager ? :)

Hi Zerodha,

I was checking Hindalco Stock Future margin both in Span Calculator and Backoffice margin file on date 11-Decm -2012.

I find different margin amounts. Please see the margin amounts in screenshots.

Can you please tell which margin is correct and needs to be maintained in a/c for NRML carry forward positions ?

Margin 1

Margin 2
