Stamp duty in last contract note is a blow to small traders. It goes to .01% from .001% a hike of 10times. I received Karnataka govt note sent by Mr.Hari which says it s effective from 1st April 2010. If so how come it is changed now. Kindly look in to this.

It was our mistake that we charged lesser stamp duty for trades done till date...We would not be charging anything extra for all the trades done till date... Stamp duty charged varies in different states, 0.002 % to 0.01%, It is 0.005% with max of Rs 250 in Andhra, 0.004% in TN, 0.002% in Mumbai with no cap...But the good thing about Karnataka is that the maximum stamp duty that is charged per day is Rs 50... This budget is when announcement on uniform stamp duty on stock market transactions across all states will be made...

Hello,
I would appreciate to hear if any NRI's having account with ZERODHA. I am concern about the NSE NOW terminal being able to work from outside India specially from Kuwait (Middle-east). Does it have any geolocation restrictions?

Thanks.

Dear Zerodha,

My a/c is still not activated. :(

Also do I have to fill sbi DIS to transfer shares or your slips? What all I have to mention in slip? Will there be any charge to transfer shares? And by when we can expect mutual funds to start? Any update on IDBI being on your direct linked bank list as yet? Thanks.

Zerodha,

Is there any problem with the Backoffice, I am getting the following error message when tried to login.....

"you are authorized to login XDK only from static IP"

How to proceed forward..........
