Do we need to mentioned anything on the back of the check while depositing?

I called zerodha today..he asked me the same and i said i didnt wrote anything on back
cos i thought the account is link with zerodha will take care of it?

then the person kept the phone by saying something i didnt hear properly...may be he said credit will updated after market hours?
I thought it should reflect in rms immediately..

Hi Sunny,

The funds will show up in your trading account as soon the cheque clears.... Just helps us if you mention your client id at the back of the cheque, but if you haven't done it is alright..

Cheers..

How to set stop-loss on limit/market order ?
Stop loss

Assume you are long nifty and you want to place stop loss..

Click on nifty, choose sell, in drop down(limit, market, SL) choose SL... choose a trigger price at which your order becomes active and then choose a limit price where you want to place the stop loss...

If you want to make this as market stop loss, the limit price has to be kept far away from the trigger price... so if you bought nifty at 5600 and want to put a stop at 5550, choose SL and choose Trigger as say 5551 and limit as 5550..

For putting market stop, choose trigger as 5551 and limit as 5520 or anything lower, it will act as a market stop..

Hope this clears out.. if you can go a few pages back, we have discussed about it also....
