Hi, Am really sorry about this issue, someone must have already called you up to sort this out... The issue was not about the password, your client ID was created wrongly, usually all the clients ids with us is 2 alpha's followed by 4 numerics...

In your case it had to be DS0113, but as you would have realized it was generated as DS0113DS0113.. As this was generated on friday evening, we got to know about the issue only on saturday...

On Saturday we had to delete the old id and create a new ID for you,We deleted the id and when we were trying to recreate the id we realized that NSE was running maintenance on its servers and hence couldn't do anything about it...
ID's can't be created during market hours, hence you will receive the new id and passwords by end of day today...

It is the rep's mistake that he didn't inform you about the issue and didn't call you back. Sincere apologies, hurts very much when an incident like this can put to question the effort we are putting in creating the most customer friendly broking platform in the country. The rep has been warned and hopefully you will never ever face any issue with our customer service like 99.9% of our other customers...

Sachin...

Hi Zerodha*,

I am following this thread since yesterday and registered now to post this reply. Because your service might be creating a 'feel good' factor among your customers, you might be under more 'public scrutiny'; and I hope you'd take it constructively.

1. Sachin/Nitin or whatever else replying on behalf of Zerodha here; I feel they have more interest in Zerodha beyond their employment; and that is why they are trying very hard to satisfy the customers here. You two may also have good knowledge on this trading business in general, so you could address a customer more effectively. But which is common & I wonder, what will happen when you will have even more customers. You got to hire more peoples; 'customer care' these days in India mostly are 'kids'. Starts a talk with a stupid - 'hw r u' like they are talking to a..

2. I didn't find the Terms & condition/contract condition doc. on zerodha site; could you link/send it.

The 'Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability' doc said -

'..Zerodha.com does not undertake any accountability for any irregularities, viruses or damage to any computer that results from accessing, availing or downloading of any information from this site...' and few other lines like that in there; they look scary to me.
(here is a similar post - http://www.traderji.com/brokers-trading-platforms/50981-liability-clause-zerodhas-agreement.html)

3. I am inviting/requesting the Moneylife foundation (moneylife.in) for a indepth review of zerodha & it's management.

Thank you,
Som

Sachin...

Dont' you think that in your eagerness to help one of your clients you are exposing him to a greater risk at the hands of cyber criminals ?

I think you ppl have still lot to learn about managing the risk. My broker sent me login id and password separately thru two different mails/courier. And never mentions my login id in any of their communications, they have a separate id called customer id - to identify me.

And here you are openly writing your customers id in a public forum, it is a criminal negligence on your part.

Although, my broker charges on the higher side, but I always felt secured. And in the past no other broker could lure me to switch just for the sake of lower brokerage.

Zerodha seems to offer a different model of business at quite a low brokerage and I felt somewhat interested and gone thru some 50 pages of this thread in one sitting ! But this post of yours has shaken me.

Kindly reassure that you have all the right process to safeguard the clients interest.

Hi Shekhar,
Have posted very clearly, the id is already deleted... Once an id is deleted it can't be allocated to anyone else.... If you have gone through 200 odd pages, I haven't even called any person by his real name, I am addressing them by their traderji id even if I know the person's real name... For eg, rajgreenpeace is the traderji id, I haven't called him by the real name even though I know it...
You can be rest assured that we take care of your interest as much or actually much more than any other broker takes...The id's etc take more importance when you have different people who can place orders on your behalf, dealers, RM's, Franchisees, Subbrokers etc... With us, there is no one who can place orders on your behalf... Just you and our call center...

Looking forward to have you trading with us... :)

Cheers...
