sir zerodha pl tell me how much will i earn or loose trading with 10 lots of nf gaining 7 points or loosing 7 points dbiting all taxes what will be the net profit or loss i m confused here . somewher i read that it will be 2610 profit and 4300 loss. while u r saying that breakeven for 10 lots is 1.87 points that is fixed so trading cost should be less than 100
Hi Sachin, only our brokerage is per order, all the other charges are in % and go up with the size of your trade...... So if you do 10 lots(10 lots buy and 10 lots sell).., your cost would be 10 lots multiplied by 1.87.... Around Rs 900.... So if you catch 7 points, your profit is Rs 3500 and your cost is Rs 900 , so your net profit will be around Rs 2600....

Cheers...

Zerodha Team: Why do you avoid answering such questions. There may be
issues with your system, but ignoring such issues will actually take you closer to likes of other brokers.

For platform issues, agreed you cant do much for NOW. But such issues you should respond, and clarify. It could be actually an issue with individual account, but if two people complain about something, and you completly ignore, shows no difference between you and crappy brokers like icici and its likes.
Hi Sandeep,

I have answered this quite a lot of times...Do call us up whenever such an issue happens, we will get it fixed instantly.... This thing should be fixed once we give out the next version of NOW....
Definitely not trying to shy away from your question, NOW is considering same risk management rules for both futures and options and hence this problem.... Hoping to have this sorted soon.... Sorry about missing your question though...

I small question. Can we put in a buy as well as a sell order on the nifty?. Some brokerages make us cancel the buy order before ccepting a sell order and vice versa, and its VERY irritating.
Damn!! that is crazy... Didn't know that brokers still do things like those.... You can very much put both buy and sell orders at same time...

Cheers...

is demat account necessary to trade in equity intraday..........i trade in options...so i have no idea about that.....please tell.............thanks in advance
Demat not required for trading intraday equity.... Demat is for taking delivery of stocks on settlement T+2 days... For intraday equity, futures and options(intraday and positional) no demat required... only trading would do...

Hii frnds,
Zerodha has very low brokerage when compare to RK Global.Service is also too good.I have account in zerodha nearly two years.

Plan A
For all trade 20.Rs/order (Future @ option as well as equity)
E.g:-Nifty future 200 Quantity in single order- 20.Rs/order (Excluding Tax)

plan B
Intraday 0.01%
Delivery 0.10%

Future and option 20.Rs/order

Can you clarify below...

Let's say i want to place a long order for NF at 5500 and put SL order at 5490, once the long order gets executed. Is that possible?

Thanks,
Giri
Hi Giri,

These will be both considered as separate orders and separate margins will be blocked for both the orders...

If you are placing stop loss for an open position then there will be no margin blocked for that...

Thanks for the response Sachin. I am just trying to understand in what way we can benefit from this feature.......putting both buy and sell order at the same time for nifty future.

Thanks,
Giri

Any progress on the charting front?

Thanks
