Thanks for the response...

Firstly on the charting, we have the product ready, works wonderful...

Why are we not offering after investing quite a bit on getting the technology ready??
NSE sells real time data, check this link for pricing: http://nseindia.com/content/press/RealTimeTariff.pdf

If we offer the same data at 1/20th the cost, hmmm.. I suppose you understand the situation we are in!!! Authorized NSE resellers have to pay this much for selling live data, so companies like viratech etc are forced to charge around 30 to 50k annually... So we are presently in a catch 22 situation... Issues, new and innovative businesses have to go through in the country...
The only other option we are left is with going to an authorized NSE reseller and try to cut a deal for all our clients at a time and try to get at big discount from their current market prices...

About commodity,

Similar to how with NSE we are not compromising on quality just because we are giving at low cost, our most important concern would be to not compromise on quality when we offer commodity...

The only 2 serious players to look at are FT (ODIN) and Omnesys(NEST). MT4 etc are not authorized platforms in India and even if they are(interactive brokers) it won't workout at this cost.. Hopefully in the future we will develop a similar technology, that will give you an international feel... We have spoken to FT and NEST and similar to NOW have requested for co-located servers.... Servers are in the exchange itself, managed and hosted by respected tech team... Today most of the brokers don't have the right technology team to manage their servers... For us, tying up with the person who has developed the product to manage our servers will ensure superior performance compared to the other brokers in town... What is the issue then?? ;) .... This costs quite a bit!!! We have to pay up an x amount upfront, which is pretty large.... But!!! if the response is anywhere close to the response we have gotten for our equity platform, it would make us business sense.... The posts here, emails that we received supporting the initiative will ensure that we go ahead with the plan....

As comm said, we'd rather under promise and over deliver, rather than overpromise and under deliver... But needing a feedback on this was very important....

There are quite a few ppl who are providing charting facility/datafeed in the range of Rs. 300-600 /pm and there services are found to be quite satisfactory. Not everybody needs Viratech :D

If they can why can't you ? If you are not thinking/planning to provide it free altogether.

Charge reasonably and provide simple tools it will go a long way.

Shekhar, The guy who is doing at 300-600 is not doing legally, that is why I shared the link of how much NSE charges if you had to do legally... :( ... NSE is our mai baap, can't dream of tickling them in the wrong side... ;)...

Illegal ! OMG !!! Net is full of such data vendors.

On the serious note NSE should be asked to generate it revenue thru its main activity that is Buy/Sell activity rather than selling the tick data and fleecing the poor day traders and forcing them to be on the wrong side of the law. :gunsmilie:

Thanks for responding.

We are going to be applying for our licenses next week, since we are already an NSE member, we expect to have our licenses in under a month... The remaining processes could take a maximum of one more month... So hopefully in 2 months time we are set and ready to go....
