Dear Zerodha,

I had to reverse my position on Friday the 8th July around 3 p.m. For this I followed the following steps:::

Step 1 :

Step 3 :

If you see in the Step 3 , The Select dropdown is blank , so I cannot select anything and execute the trade. from 3:00 to 3:28 I tried many things, like restarting the machine, cleaning the java cache, without any result. Finally around 3:29 I succeeded in getting the dropdown and execute the trade.

In the meantime the market fell like nine pins.

My question is , Why did it happen ?

You mean to say NOWxpress is the preferred way of trading, instead of NOWweb.

Thanks to you , I installed NowEXE at my office and now I know what I was missing.

But in my home computer when I start NowEXE, the program halts after downloading 35% scrips and never finishes the task, don't know why.

Could be because of the internet speed, at 35% the software starts downloading fno scrips as many as 19000 of them I think, so it can take long at that point while installing.... If net is slower it can take longer...

Dude, you should try mailing them or calling them up if you have a query that requires an immediate reply. Traderji is not their helpdesk....
From what I was told, all shorts(Cash segment) get squared off the same day by Zerodha. Other brokerages may let you hold on to your shorts till the next day when it goes into auction. If you want to hold on to shorts and have reasonable margin money, then get in touch with Angel Broking... they could let you hold on to your shorts(positions a little longer albeit at the cost of some other long term "investor" of theirs
