Government's stupidity has no limits They ROB us through taxes & inflation & then use that money to pay idiots who shove their inane rules down our throats. Like almost all government regulations, this is going to end up doing more harm than good. :annoyed:

I kind of support this new rule. I used to receive lots of SMS that I wanted to avoid. Hope this new rule will help to stop those unwanted SMS. Only receive SMS that u want to.

But as always for any rule there will be some loophole.

I understand that many people receive unsolicited messages & such but this is NOT the way to prevent them, I'm sure these advertisers will find some workarounds.

Instead, they could've come down hard on service-providers that sell their subscribers' numbers to these third-parties but NO, they came up with this piece of communist, anti-freedom stupidity & now people can't even send SMSs bought with their own money, through their own phone....what next, 10-minute call-limit per day per SIM! Limits on how much people can speak to each other! Again, the issue is of violation of our freedom, it is government's job to find the culprits & punish them but government should NOT punish EVERYONE because government is too stupid & incompetent to find the culprits & stop them!

As I've said, government's stupidity is limitless. :annoyed:

There is a segment in the markets called futures and options..lots come into the place there...what is futures and options... hmmm... what can I say, weapons of mass destruction... ...

You could do some research on the same on traderji...

We received a member code from FMC today. We are starting off on setting up of the technology from today...The servers again will be collocated to give everyone the best latency...

The brokerage again would be 0.01% or Rs 20 whichever is lower...

Currency Trading Enabled....

All the old clients will have to send a request to have it enabled. Download the segment addition doc : http://zerodha.com/download/index.html , Print the forms, sign and send it back to be enabled immediately.

As a Thank you to our existing clients and to give a feeler of how currency trading works, we are having 2 days of zero cost trading on October 5th and October 7th. No Brokerage would be charged on any currency trades done on these two days.

Do spread the word to all others who are trading with us(unfortunately we can't send sms because of the TRAI regulations) and people don't check their emails that often....

Dear zerodha, see how well your response to my request was taken by all small investors and how badly we all were waiting for such option. Only 1 more query, will it be for all derivatives or only equity FnO? Also do we have to enable currncy trading to get such benefit or will it be by default to all users?

I second that. Its the highest in the Industry. If the transaction charges go down, and 1 paise or 20 rs, is applicable, you will find other brokerages out of business.
And whats the workaround for transaction SMSes?
Also, have not received the Email for the Trades done today
