I remember you mentioning some posts back that you cant provide technical charting as NSE sells data and makes huge money out of it.... so if u start providing charts Mr.You-know-who will be at you ass... if such is the case how is Sharekhan providing charting and TA???? Not finding fault with you... just wishing to be enlightned and would it not be prudent for you to find the same path as them to serve us.......... thanks! :)

suppose i bought nifty futures at 4900, current price is 4950 and i want to take profit at 5000. how to place take profit order in advance?

Simply put a limit sell order at 5000. If price happens to reach there your order will get executed.

SELECT SELL ORDER >>> ORDER TYPE LIMIT >>> SELL PRICE =5000

So what is the final verdict?

Must the trigger-price be hit for it to get activated? Or ANY price lower (higher in case of buys) than trigger-price will do?

Just looking for confirmation on this. :)

Ok, a few questions.

Scenario 1 - I buy @95, Current Market Price is @100 & I put a limit-sell @105.........BUT........ I DON'T put any trigger-price........will the sale be executed @105 or above, given that the instrument is liquid enough & the price stays above 105 long enough?

Scenario 2 - Buy@95, CMP@100, limit-sell @105.......AND I put trigger-price @105 also........will the sale be executed @105 or above, given that ......?

Scenario 3 - Buy@95, CMP@100, limit-sell @105.......AND I put trigger-price @104........again........what'll happen?

Thanks :)
Scene 1: As soon as your stock/contract reaches 105 your order gets executed... at 105, there could be many orders, your order will be in queue, for guaranteed execution, you could say it has to go 1 tick above 105...

Scene 2. When you are putting a limit sell there is no point putting a trigger price... you are just putting a limit order to exit at 105... Trigger price is put in SL , so you could put a trigger at 95 to protect your capital... So if you put a SL-M and put trigger of 95 , when stock goes to 95 or below, your position will be exited at market...

Scene 3.... Same as 2, If you put a trigger price at a price higher than the current market price, your order gets triggered immediately, so there is no point doing it... You rather put just a limit selling order...

Cheers..

Stock Future Intraday
----------------------
I know margin for nifty future intraday in Zerodha is 4%, Can I know what is the intraday premium % for any stock future?

Is this same % across all stock future or it differ from stock to stock.
Is there any link where can I get daily premium for stock future intraday with zerodha.

Thanks a lot.
Little confusing,

If I understood it right, you want to know margin required to trade stock futures for intraday and overnight??

Login to backoffice, you can see a SPAN margin file...

Click on it, next to every contract, you will see a total margin required... This is what is required to keep the position overnight(3pm)... If it is for intraday, you need 40% of the same...

hope this clarifies...

There are 2 concepts with NSE, Data vendors and people who use it on their own software...

People who provide only data, like viratech, etc etc are data vendors and they need to pay x amount...

Sharekhan, indiabulls etc, have their own charting tool on their software which is approved by NSE... If we had our own software and we had a charting tool incorporated in that tool, there would be no issues, but because we have outsourced this, if we have to provide data to a 3rd party charting software we need to become licensed vendors...

And what is changes in calculator now?

I think I pointed out long back that actual trade note and calculator differ in calculating the total profit/loss.

If it is rectified let me know.
There has been no difference in contract note and brok calculator charges... Send me your client id to [email protected]... will check your contract notes and call you back...
