Friends,

I have installed Omnesys Nest Pulse software linked to Zerodha's Now software. During market hours I have observed that the charts once opened remain stagnant but the quotes on the last candle of the chart keeping on fluctuating without the charts candle sticks moving over a period of time. For this I have to refresh the candles every now and again. I would like to know whether this a software bug or is there any solution for this.

Hello Zerodha interested in opening a new MCX account, I have some Queries

1. What is the minimum margin amount required to trade in Silver mini and silver micro?
2. Do you provide phone assistance for buying and selling?
3. Do you have a platform to trade on mobile?

although MCX trading is not yet started by Zerodha, you can view RKglobal's MCX margin file for a rough idea on margin on commodities. click here

2. Do you provide phone assistance for buying and selling?
Zerodha would probably have to have Customer care work till 11:55pm; not sure if they see any business sense on this.

3. Do you have a platform to trade on mobile?
for equities there is NOW - mind you, Zerodha does not provide mobile trading platform but NOW team does.

for commodities, Zerodha is going to offer ODIN and website based trading. mobile trading platform unlikely.

I Just got my Zerodha Account Activated.

A little query about Stamp Duty ........

In your brokerage calculator you have mentioned that it is 0.01% or Rs 50 whichever is lower.

Now for example if my turnover is not 500000 and less then that supose 200000 then also will you charge 50 or Rs20.

As it is mentioned that it is 0.01% or 50 whichever is lower. Will it work like this?

Please clear my doubt.

And one more thing why in brokerage calculator calculation of Stamp Duty is not taken into consideration.

So as anybody who is calculating brokerage from calculator it will not get clear calculation as STAMP Duty is not considered in it.

99.5% of our clients trade more than once during the day... the brokerage calculator lets you calculate charges per trade and not per contract note.... Because stamp duty is on the entire contract note, it becomes tough to show it on the calculator..

In your example, stamp duty would be 20 and not 50

Dear Zarodha,

I have following queries:

if I buy equ. stock worth 1 Lakh and short sell another equ stock
worth 1 Lakh and recover both trades intraday.
What will be all the expenses including brokerage and minimum margin
money.
Total trades= 4. Total value= 4 lakh.

Hello Friends,

I have downloaded the brokerage calculator from Zerodha website and included the stamp duty in the calculator.

The zipfile is attached below.

Please check and let everybody know if any corrections are needed in it.

Enjoy,
CArnot
Thanks for the file.

But I am not sure your calculation method is proper as far as option turnover is concerned.

Have a look at this -

actually murthy it is 0.01% or Rs 20 whichever is lower... But 0.01% of the contract turnover.. .So if you are buying 5000 calls at Rs 50, the turnover would be (5000+50)*50 = 252500 and 0.01% of this or Rs 20 whichever is lower...

Cheers..

Sachin,

Can you approve/verify if carnot11 's calculations are correct ?

Or

Can we have one brokerage calculator for minifty/nifty/banknifty future with all the charges.( STT/Stamp/ everything included) in EXCEL ?

Basically I am interested in trading only 1 lot of (minifty/nifty/banknifty).
I trade only on first 3 hrs daily. So I would like to trade only 1 lot as due to office timmings don't get much time to hold position even if it is profitable.

I am trying to compare 1 lot trade with other brokers.

Service wise my exp. with you all is excellent but am curious to to compare for small traders like me and would like to compare charges for one lot daily with other brokers.

Regards,
Raju
