Assume I pay 5k upfront and i stop trading after 2 trades!! will the broker refund brokerage??? NOW NSE has a rule that broker can't charge more than 2.5%!!! So will the broker who has taken 5k upfront refund the brokerage paid???

No!! Charging upfront brokerage, is not in line of the NSE compliance norms. Sooner or later, all upfront brokerage schemes will have regulatory issues....There are already n number of complaints lying with NSE and SEBI against upfront brokerage plans from retail clients...

The idea with our challenge is to push you towards making money for yourself... To bring in some rationality into your trading, hoping that every time you put a trade, you will remember that we are having a challenge that you are in it for being profitable and not just for trading for the heck of it....

Finally, guys NOW is going paid, brokers like us and a few others could reduce costs because of NOW. Once NOW is paid, it won't be possible for the same.... Today we are at a size where we can shift to a much more advanced platform and offer you without any charge, but a lot of others will find it tough... The next 3 months, we will be sharing you profitable trading strategies which are backtested on the trading platform itself... The system will based on your view of the markets, suggest you trading strategies, share profitability and give you signal on the platform itself...
What do you mean NOW is going paid?
r u going to stop providing NOW after moving to the new platform ?

:clapping: Kudos to ZERODHA. Kindly give some more information on PROFITABLE TRADING STRATEGIES, SHARE PROFITABILITY AND SIGNALS. With all these features and support from Zerodha, may be the overall loosers ratio will surely come down. I am optimistic. :clapping:

That is a good initiative, if such a system comes and people will come to know about it, eventually that particular system will stop working, coz, people know about it. Just like what happened to Turtle trading systems. But, still systems work always, which are based on common rules/indicators of trading and good MM. Nothing can beat this!!

Thre is NO 'PROFITABLE TRADING STRATEGIES'..

Unfortunately there is no time tested PROFITABLE TRADING STRATEGIES (Technical System) because,
Profits from Trading also depends on following 3 factors,
A. Position Sizing, B. Money Management & C. Risk Management
All above 3 come from "Human Brain" only with experience.
As every Human Brains are different, every trader have to find a suitable strategy & time frame also according to those 3 factor.

It would be so nice, if Zerodha can provide a fast & efficient (which consumes low bandwidth like Nse Now,) terminal with 30 day intraday charts, where beginner can back test different strategies to find which one is best suitable for him/her. :)

Regards.

How to launch NEST PLUS & Nse Now from separate PC?

Dear, Zerodha,
How to launch NEST PLUS (For Charting) & Nse Now (Trading Terminal) from separate PC?
Nest Plus consuming big bandwidth, some times refresh rate in Now pauses.
I have two Tata photon connection. Problem would be solved, if I can launch these applications from separate PC. Presently Nest Plus launches with Nse Now Log in window. How to launch Nest Plus independently? Is there any separate installer for Nest Plus?
Regards.

Now thats really hilarious :)
You are going to backtest a strategy with a months data? :)

You need to test for a MINIMUM of 1000 trades, or approx 30 months worth of data for coming to a conclusion about a system. For the last 30 days, tell you what, just buy the open, and you are going to be positive. So, are you going to make money over the next few years, going long at the open? beause this strategy made you money in the month of January?

For Intraday systems, a 1000 trade sample size will give you the confidenbce to risk your money in the markets. Of course, all this applies to people who are trying to trade professionally for a living. For people doing it for the thrill, you can even check the last 3 days of data, and start trading a a system.

Would suggest you forget about nest plus with now, as the combination lags your machine and you net connection like anything. Not a good combo. Try some other program for charting. Like amibroker, with now rates streaming into it via a conversion program.

Dear friend,
I m not a beginner, I am a seasoned trader.
Intraday charts with 30day data is enough for back testing for a beginner, if tested for 2 years in live market [My real life experience].
I trade successfully with free google Intraday charts only; which has only 7 day of 2 min chart & 10 day of 5 min chart.
Unfortunately google don't have future chart.
A similar kind of charting system (low bandwidth system like google) for Futures with 30 intraday chart is enough for trading successfully.
Above type charting facility would be enough for beginner to find a suitable system after back testing in life market for a prolong period. Cheers. :)
