@ Zerodha:

I have a query on Stock future.

Say I have 125 shares of SBI in my Demat account. Now I have shorted 1 lot of SBI today and didn't square it off before expiry. I would just let it open until 31/05/2012 the Expiry day.

Now in this situation, what will happen? Will my shares from my Demat account get debited or it will get CASH settled like Index futures on the expiry day closing price? :confused:

(And believe me, data matters a lot, cause I get very different results when I backtest with SK data and NOW data. SK data misses a lot of ticks). RKSV also has a similar kind of setup (software) and in my opinion has a better brokerage plan, but what makes me stick to Zerodha and not shift to RKSV is their margin exposure (5x for RKSV, and 5-10x for Zerodha). So, to tell you the truth, I really got everything that I dreamed about (Brokerage,software, margin) with Zerodha and of course the 60 day challenge is an added plus point and I hope they do continue it.

hut how do you transfer data to ambibroker real time, i am aware of sundris software, but it has no back fill

I keep my NOW - to - AB continuously on from 9:00 am to 3:50 pm so do not need to backfill but in case of emergencies backfill can be done manually through hourly statistics in NOW or through the data table in Nest Plus, neither are reliable as they are just one minute snapshots and their one minute does not align with Amibroker 1 minute, so should be done only in emergencies.

All Equity and index futures and option contracts in India are cash settled.. So it will get cash settled like index futures...
