I have a share in Demat . How do I sell it ?

(a) Should I place a CNC SELL order in NOW ?

(b)How much time it takes for Delivery SELL settlement ? I know for CNC BUY it takes 2 days ...how much time it takes for SELL ?

Hi guys,
I appreciate the service, overall. But, like every other Indian trading software NOW is a... piece of #$%# (excuse my French).
I wonder if you guys could do the trading community in India a massive service by providing us with a plugin for Amibroker. Most of us active players use an alternate charting software and none of us enjoy paying what we do for live data. A credible, stable data source with backfill, without tinkering would really be an outstanding addition. I've brought this up before, and you seemed open to the idea - I'd love to see you guys commit to it and to put it on the next steps list.
I suspect NSE won't let you go the whole hog with all their security nonsense - but even if we could get some form of useful data integration, that would be a MASSIVE help.

Yes use CNC sell order in NOW

Same T+2 when you sell. Shares get debited from your demat tomm and the money credit comes day after...

What is the margin zerodha provides for commodity trading???

For eg... how much margin money is needed to buy 1 lot of Silvermini??

For intraday we require 50% of the overnight margin.. So for eg silvermini overnight margin is around 13000, for intraday you need 6500, this can be kept open till 25 mins before closing time..

(A) How much Demat charges I need to pay if I do a CNC buy of share in NOW ? Where do I find this information ?

Also , I guess there is no Demat charges for CNC SELL ..right ?


(B) Can you please explain what is Ledger balance in your back-office ? Could you please give an example.

Demat charges or DP charges as it is called is applicable only when you are selling shares from your demat account.. It is not applicable for buying..

Dp charges are Rs9 with us + NSDL charges(Rs 5)...


Ledger balance is your balance in the account.. Every day whatever is contract note credit or debit, it happens on your ledger balance.. If you check the ledger balance without margins, it will show you balance without margins blocked for your positions, and if you choose with margins, it will show after blocking margins are blocked for existing positions..
