bro, i know what gap mean, i am asking example stating how execution will happen in that case, how chances will increase?.

ex- if in your said example, SL-L is againt long position then in after trigger at 1.50 when order will execute, if gap down or gap up suddenly what will happen, etc etc

my understanding was once its triggered ...it will remain active ...

there would be gap up ..gap down sudden spikes ..this happens in the market always ...but until it falls in the range you specified it wont be executed even though its already triggered.

anyway ..zerodha is the best person to answer this... I just shared what I knew ..

Hold the shares till the ex-date. If you sell it on ex-date or after that, you will get the dividend. Automatically credited.
What is ex-date ? and where do I find this ex-date ?

Does your ex-date is same as Effective Date column as shown in the Dividend Announcement image I posted here? Please see ...Effective Date column is blank for this announcement.

Just surfing through the websites of various brokers, and I found an interesting thing.

Rsec (Reliance securities) is allowing fund pay-in through multiple options such as VISA Debit Card, IVR etc. :yahoo:

I think in future brokers will be allowed to issue debit cards so that clients can withdraw funds from their Trading accounts directly. So no hassle of giving withdrawal request's. :) This may happen, who knows.

How to become a Broker with MetaTrader 4?

How to become a Broker with MetaTrader 4?
Here is the link for Zerodha:-

www.metaquotes.net/en/metatrader4/brokers

I wonder, what would be the cost of MT4 terminal for our favorite broker Zerodha.

Zerodha, please try to negotiate a deal for us, we can share the cost with you. :p
Zerodha can attract much higher number of indian traders by providing just MT4 terminal. Many Indian Traders are desperate for MT4 terminal & the demand is increasing day by day.
Best Wishes. :clapping:

Just the senario, market is at rs 100, your sl order gets activated and validated and then is sent to the exchange, this takes time dos,nt it, in the mean time what happens to the stock if it was moving down, it would have gone to 99.8, 99.75 or even to 99.5, your order remains unexcequted till the stock comes back to 100.

Thanks sansarva and zerodha for clearing my doubt

There is one little query If i enter Tr price 100 and Price 99.85 than after the order sent in the market ...what should be the excequted price 99.85
or 99.95 ,99.9, 99.85 any of there .........

thank you all:)

It is easier said than done. Just having a deal won't solve the problem. It is almost impossible for Zerodha to provide MT4/MT5 platform to us.

The reason is the trading terminal must be certified by NSE/SEBI before a broker can open it for public trading. So, don't blame Zerodha for not having a deal with Metaquotes. Every terminal needs exchange approval before it can be used. And I doubt NSE/BSE will ever allow it.

So, stop demanding MT, and be happy with NEST. Only request we can do to Zerodha is to create it's own proprietary platform which will be of international standards, but with Zerodha's business model it will be very costly for them to develop such platform.

REPLY:-

It is tough, but not impossible to have MT4/5 terminal in India for CHARTING [Never said we need it for trading, Zerodha Trader is enough for trading multiple exchange]. We need MT4/5 terminal for CHARTING for it's excellence & little bandwidth uses.

Sooner or later, we'll see MT4/5 for charting in India [Demand is increasing very fast, as traders used to it with demo account from various international brokers. So why not from our ZERODHA: The No1 brokerage house in india? :)

I already use MT4 EVERYDAY FOR GOLD & CRUDE OIL CHART using FREE demo account from Broco Trader since last 3 month, never trade with them.
So it is possible to use MT4/5 for charting only.
Would open a commodity account with Zerodha as soon as NSE activated on zerodha trader. As Crude Oil movement much faster than Nifty, we need much faster MT5 for CHARTING rather than SLOWER NEST PLUS.

Don't care whether NSE/BSE allows MT4/5 for trading, we need MT4/5 for CHARTS. Cheers.
