still waiting for reply from zerodhaonline..
You can transfer from your ICICI account using your online transfer feature. When you login to your ICICI account all you will have to do is do an online transfer. The Zerodha account details are on their website under the TRADING->FUNDS TRANSFER option.

Thanks,
Ravi.

2. You can sell anytime you want(next day itself), but you would carry the risk of auction.

i do not want to face the risk of auction :D then when can i sell my shares suppose i had bought it on Monday. my friend told me you will get the share on Wednesday and you can sell it on Thursday is it true :)
Any broker who is letting you do BTST(buy today and sell tomorrow) is putting the risk of auction on your head but doesn't mention it to you.. When you buy delivery shares on monday, you will get it only on T+2, wednesday evening...If you sell it before you get it, the risk is that the shares you bought doesn't get delivered..So if you sell on tuesday, you will have to deliver the shares on thursday and if the guy who has sold the shares hasn't delivered to you, then you will not have any shares to sell...So you will have the auction risk...

Ideally if you are doing delivery trade (with any broker), if you buy on Monday you can sell it only on thursday to not carry any risk of auction...

Hope this clarifies...

Hi guys, my account got activated yesterday...but i m unable to transfer fund.....can someone tell me in steps how to do that
Direct payment gateway presently is available only with HDFC , Axis and SBI(still to be activated).. If you have bank accounts other than these, you will have to use NEFT or RTGS fund transfers.. NEFT can take anywhere between 3 to 5 hours and RTGS (more than Rs 2lks) Takes less than an hour... If transferring through NEFT, it makes a lot of sense to transfer it previous evening so funds are available for trading next day morning... You can visit the link: fund transfer under trading on our website to know about the Zerodha NSE client account and all other details... Cheers...

Its not requied in NOW , on your first logon after user id acvtivation NSE now will take some time and automatically update all the scrips.
Yes, not required to copy paste the scriplist anywhere.. will happen on its own, if your broadband is slow and taking a while to download the scrips(the first time you login), you can copy paste the scrips to the NOW folder in C: ... Cheers...
