Re: 60 day challenge.

How many of you guys have received your brokerage refund for the 60-day challenge? No response from anyone other than Bharat, or are there no winners of the challenge in this thread?

Received brokerage refund. Wish similar kind of challenge again specially including commodity (might be tougher one if zerodha think previous challenge was too easy). :)
If it is really hard for them to return big accumulated brokerage after 3 month. They can think of some small quick but tougher challenge, like brokerage refund for consecutive 5 or 7 winning trades in a row. Even they they can think of some nearly impossible challenge like consecutive 10 winning trades. But we need some sort of challenges to make trading interesting. Cheers. :clapping:

Zerodha,

it would be great to have the following features in your modified ZerodhaTrader software. sequence is based on descending priority of the given feature.

  1. Quick Square-Off Button in Snap Quote window - just besides where it displays the M-to-M - for quickest exit.
  2. Multiple Snap Quote windows. At least a few, say 5 if not more.
  3. Functional Hourly Statistics Window(I know it is there by the name of "VWAP Statistics" but it does't display any data!).
  4. Inclusion of OI data in NestPlus Charts/Data Table (I do understand its a delayed snapshot data of 3 minutes (as per NOW) but something is better than nothing at all)
Hope you guys are still listening for the user desired modifications/features.

Many might have got the refund of brokerages and proved profitable and won the challenge but they may be silent .I am one such person "waiting silently for Zerodha to announce the next challenge " and win it again. Zerodha are you listening ?:) Let us have a challenge in some revised form so that we trade with compitative spirit....

Also as we have Omnesys and NOW combination in Zerodha ,waiting for some learning from Zerodha on automated trading.....some good scripts for intraday trading, which will be profitable to the members and Zerodha both....hope to hear on this soon as Zerodha had mentioned this in their plans.Let us make a start....not wait indefinately for all exchanges to be on Zerodha trader....start with NOW and later we can shift autotrading to Zerodha trader platform....

yes ST, definitely a challenge is required for a competitive spirit...
No offence, but let us make it even more challenging. the winners of the last challenge can participate only every alternate challenge. this way it would not prove to be a costly affair for Zerodha.

I am ok with that but Zerodha's problems were not the winners who traded with just one account and made profits throughout the month. If I understand it correctly some people opened multiple accounts.....but as per existing competition rules nothing wrong in that ...and if that was the problem, plug that with some conditions....

And Zerodha is not going out of pocket by rewarding the winners....they are just refunding what they have charged....but I guess there are some other legal issues....they can be avoided if they apply their mind to it....

I am ok even getting a note of appreciating the performance and just a tocken Rs 100 as prize.....or Rs 10,000 to top 20 performers ....something on these lines...but your suggestion is also good....only thing is i will be missing the competition and benchmarks in next Zerodha challenge.....

I knew you would take it in the right spirit ST, thanks and expect the same from most of the winners in last challenge.
my only motive was to keep the challenge ticking but at the same time make it financially feasible for Zerodha to continue posting the challenges if the gross refund amount needs to be kept in check.

your suggestion sounds great of limiting the max refund amount and the max no. of awardees.

I guess a lot more suggestions were given to Zerodha but they are yet to come up with any fix.

we can tinker around with the eligibility criteria say those winners with multiple accounts can participate every alternate challenge or only one account every challenge if that helps.

let me make it clear to all that this is just a thought/suggestion.

Hi,Bharat,

Been trading with Zerodha since 2nd May.Their brokerage is one of the lowest.0.001% or Rs 20 which ever is lower!! Brokerage is applied to each leg of the trade, that is once for buy side and once for sell side.
The other costs are as per SEBI & Govt norms.
Back Office service is among the best. They have virtually no negatives.

thx & bye

agreed on first three point, however best s/w for back office i come across is from icici direct.. it have everything from tax calculation ....
