Dear lowest_brokerage,

Can you show me a thread where a person from your so called esteemed brokerage house has been participating in discussions and answering questions patiently for almost 950+ pages?? For me this one feature trumps all the other features. The one drawback that i can think of zerodha is that they are too conservative and often i feel like they are frightened like a small kinder garden kid to do anything aggressively this is with regards to giving margin etc.The other complaint against them is that they are super slow to do anything may it be bringing in bse, features like online pledging etc. Inspite of these two major drawbacks people love zerodha!!! I have been in the market for the past 10 years and i have never ever seen anyone liking their brokerage somuch. Keep it up zerodha. you rock!!

Conservative is eminently acceptable in money matters.

As for bringing in other exchanges, I don't mind the delay, as long as they deliver a bug free product/service.

put option has a strike price...I checked put option definition in investopedia ..

I found in investopedia dictionary ...

A put becomes more valuable as the price of the underlying stock depreciates relative to the strike price. For example, if you have one Mar 08 Taser 10 put, you have the right to sell 100 shares of Taser at $10 until March 2008 (usually the third Friday of the month). If shares of Taser fall to $5 and you exercise the option, you can purchase 100 shares of Taser for $5 in the market and sell the shares to the option's writer for $10 each, which means you make $500 (100 x ($10-$5)) on the put option.

Please look at the red part above ...this looks bit unusual contract ...if I buy a put option it gives me a right to sell at strike price !! ....is it correct ? it seems unusual because its giving right to sell .....please comment.

You know for call option ..if I buy a call option ..it gives me right to buy at strike price..

In India, options are cash settled at expiry. But until then their pricing works exactly like other markets. See this NSE Page for more info. Also read this thread by DanPickUp. It is an active thread where they discuss about options.

To megapixel,

no trading...was busy with study ..far away from market...
Download NSE Certified Market Professional (NCMP) Modules
FREELY from below link & do some self study to know more about Markets. You'll find more clear answers of most of yours queries already given in those books with explanations.
To success in Trading U need same (or much more) amount of study about Market like other Subjects/Profession.
And there are no shortcuts, like acquiring most of knowledge from Broker's Thread! ...

If acquiring knowledge about market are so easy, then everyone would be a trader instead of working hard at other jobs.

Download books from following link:-

Best Wishes. Cheers. :)

Good news! Nest plus has launched an Amibroker API :D

Now we can directly put orders from our strategies from charting softwares like amibroker and metastock :D

Just update your nestplus version to see it.

Details: https://plus.omnesysindia.com/NestPlus/Plus/view.jsp?prd=plus_api

PS: This just been launched I have not tested it. Don't get too excited yet. Hope the quality is good. :D
A step forward for Omnesys, even though still lacking a whole lot of things. They haven't even provided a help file for this. This API does not interact with Amibroker so how will Amibroker know whether order has been executed or not so that it could be modified or cancelled or whatever? Omnesys are you listening? Also Omnesys, please let us know how fast do the orders get picked up by Nest Plus? (in milliseconds please!) .. refresh rate for the signal monitor?.
