is it right /correct price, or NOW terminal is giving wrong price quote>
sorry for the confusion ... it was a typo ...it is 266 ..... not 166

it was not a single buy ..266 is the average buy price of 3 times buy .....I started buying when Bharati crashed ...on the very day bharati lost 1 lk crore in the market ....but I bought ....thats the beginning of airtel's fall ...next day it again fall ..I bought ....next day ...it again fall ....I bought....3 times buy ...and 266 is the average buy price.....I took this risk assuming its a NIFTY company and it will rally ...now see ...Airtel is stuck below 250 for couple of days ...... It seems to me I did a mistake....I can hold as long as I wish ...because its a CNC buy....no expiry .....but then again I see the % rise of this stock is almost negligible....and my fund is stuck ...

Similar situation is happening with Jindal Steel and Power...

Its shares have fall 6.5 percent, hitting earlier its lowest since May 28, 2009, after already slumping 7.4 percent in the previous two sessions.

A stock which has seen a high of Rs. 664 in the past one year is hitting it's lowest of last 3 years due to CAG report!

Thanks for the details. Just two more questions.

1) How do I withdraw funds from Zerodha to my ICICI (is there any option provided with your web based software / backoffice login)? Coz, with an another broker, they say I've to mail them to withdraw - which I don't prefer.

2) It's regarding margins - Lets say I only have margin required (for futures) for intraday. In that case, will my position be squared off automatically at the end of the day? If so, at what time does that happen? 03:15 PM?

Zerodha,

I am looking for opening a New trading account. Would like to know the following details about Trading Account with Zerodha.

1) Am only looking forward to trading in Derivatives. So trading account would suffice. right?

Yes only trading account would do..

2) Account Opening Charges

For Trading account 300 if we courier the forms, Rs 200 if you print the forms

3) AMC

Zero

4) Is NOW available on web browsers too? Can derivative trading be completely done on web based NOW platform?

Yes webbased platform available, our new trading platform will also be available on web browser.. Yes derivative trading can be done completely

5) Are there any software charges?

No charges

6) I'm holding savings account with ICICI bank. So how do I transfer money to Zerodha and how do I withdraw? How long does it take for the tranfer (am only looking for online transactions; NOT cheque drops, etc...)

If you use icici, there is an instant payment gateway for instant fund transfer.. Withdrawal will take a maximum of 24 hours...

7) Lets say, I buy 1 lot of Nifty futures @ 5600 and sell @ 5650. In this case, what'll be total brokerage and other charges that I'll be paying (including brokerage, STT, exchange related charges, etc...).

Visit our website and check the link brokerage calculator on our home page..

8) And what would be the margin that I have to keep in my account for Intraday trading for the above case

Whatever is the nse stipulated margin, you will need 40% of that for intraday trading...

9) And what would be the margin that I have to keep in my account for Positional trading for the above case

The above position of 1 lot of nifty will need around 25k for overnight and 10k for intrday..

10) I've seen in forums (Traderji, ***********), that there are some billing issues with Zerodha (or ILFS). Are they fixed?

IF you are opening only trading account, you have nothing to do with ILFS.. Even with ILFS, there are no major issues as such.. They have sent a bill for an amount which is already paid by us.. They should fix it and send a new bill in the next few days..

11) Are there any charges for Call & Trade option. (Though, I don't think I would use it often)

Yes 20 bucks for every executed call n trade...

12) Are there any other charges at all? If so, what are they?

Nopes

13) Do I need to maintain any Deposit with Zerodha?

No deposit, just the money required to take your position...

hope this helps...

Hi Zerodha,

Do you remember that you promised us bracket orders facility once Zerodha trader starts. Any latest info on that?

Interactive Brokers is providing Bracket Orders for all segments including NSE F&O segment.
