Hey,

Thanks for the details.

Am filling up the Application form @ Zerodha.com. I've few doubts regarding that. (I'm going to apply only for Trading Account - Derivates / FNO trading)

1) A field is asking for my Networth. What is that? Should I fill it up?
2) Should I give my Salary & Employment details. (I prefer not to share)
3) I should courier the following are the documents along with the Application form. Plz add / modify the list.

  • Trading Account Application form
  • PAN Card photocopy
  • Gas bill photocopy
  • 6 Months Bank Statement
  • 1 Cancelled cheque (of the Account that I'm gonna link to. The cheque shall not contain any names / amount)

No need of emails

Login to backoffice and place a request and receive it in your bank within 24 hours

Assume you have 50k and have taken 4 lots of nifty futures for intraday( 12k per lot)

At 3pm our systems will start squaring off only to the extent you cannot hold with the funds for overnight position

So with 50k 2lots would be squared off and 2lots will be left back in the account

We typically request the client to do this on his own before 3pm

But if you don't our systems will do it can happen anytime between 3pm to 330pm

Systems start squaring off from the highest leverage to the lowest leverage account

Dear Zerodha / Friends,

What is the procedure to close the Demat account with ILFS as i paid my full dues of 627.90 today and due date was 31/08/2012. In the mail i have stated to close the account as of today WEF 29/08/2012 and have asked for confirmation.

Hope they do it . As i trade only INTRADAY.

Do i need to inform Zerodha ?

Thanks
Alok Urs

zerodha is not good as their trading platform is not good and intraday auto sqaure off timing is 3.10 pm it means u may have to suffer huge losses because of not able to cover or square off ur position after 3.10 pm whereas market moves havily after 3.10pm and as such you may miss rally. Earlier i was using zerodha but now i switched over to sharekhan. Their sservices and trading platform(trade tiger) is unbeatable rather i would say there no any trading platform better than Trade tiger. further they gave me brokerage rate even cheaper than zerodha. they offered me brokerage @ 0.005% in cash, fno, currency and commodity and that is too without any advance brokerage plan.
are you a sharekhan staff ?

you surfaced suddenly ( Join Date: Aug 2012 , Posts: 2 ) and started attacking zerodha ...and praising sharekhan

He may be from Sharekhan, but he is not wrong about Zerodha's platform. It is one of the reason I am still with my local broker. Perhaps he is not wrong about Sharekhan trading software either, if you go by what most traders say about it.

About brokerage and customer service, I think our Zerodha is matchless.

By the way, could the gentleman, who has first posted about Sharekhan, show us some proof about his brokerage plan? And how he managed to get that.

Has he/she committed trading volume to them or is it a standard plan for all?

And does the Sharekhan provide the so called "unbeatable" trading platform to its client for free? If they charge for it, then by how much?

What is Sharekhan's AMC, transaction charges etc.? Tell us. Then we will see.

@ ZERODHA,

When is it likely that the TO tax (NSE) which is currently at Rs 490/crore to reduce? As because of this my existing total cost of trading with my current broker is lower than yours, even though the brokerage charged by you is lesser.

TO tax to reduce I guess you need to commit certain volume to NSE, which I believe you have enough of active traders with you now to go ahead.
