For commodity trading, intraday margin was available till 45 mins before closing of markets.. We have reduced this to 25 mins..

Also copper has been added to the list of Gold, Silver and crude for intraday margin.. So if you place order under MIS for these contracts, you need only 50% of mcx stipulated margins...
Thank you for giving margin benefit for intraday trading..

in copper and crude mainly..

Zerodha,

Is it possible to disable the auto log off feature in the NOW mobile app?? Now with multi level log in feature it is quite inconvinient to enter values into so many fields. This could be crucial in times of market crashes. NOW terminal also auto logs off but the application keeps running at the background and we just need to enter the trading password after more than 15 mins of inactivity.

Please take up this issue with NOW team and have smthing similar for mobile app too. That is app would keep running even after inactivity and would just prompt for trading password.

Thanks

Hello Zerodha,

There is some error in "Currency - Open positions".

1. It is still showing previous series' transactions among open positions.

2. The description is not clear. One can not make out the strike price etc. of the options. Can this be improved ?

Just a quick question, Zerodha.

There used to be a mutual funds section on your site that doesn't exist anymore. Does that mean it isn't currently possible to pick up a mutual fund using NOW or whatever other framework?

I'm essentially looking to make it easier to pick up liquid funds with the surplus margin on my account when I'm not using part of my margin. Not a massive issue - but it does make it convenient if excess margin can be deployed effectively in one place.

Other than that - I have nothing but positive feedback. My A/c was up and running in a day (never seen that kind of efficiency from an Indian brokerage firm before), I've spoken to some of the most polite and responsive customer care people and I've escaped the technical issues, so far (sod's law suggests I'll regret saying this!!).

So, thanks for the wonderful service and take your time in answering my query. Cheers.

Hi Zerodha
i have submitted an Equity trading form and waiting for a/c to be activated.
In the mean time, i saw on ur web: Zerodha trader for MCX and NOW for equities.

For dumbo ppl like me who have never traded on NOW/Nest, can u pls ealborate more . Yes, i am aware over short time , u will be switching NSE to Zerodha trder. Till that time can u pls tell NSE traders how to use NEST and it's variants.

Alternatively u can add videos like u provided for NOW on ur web
Please go through the following link:

http://www.omnesysindia.com/nesttraderfaq.html

The general layout for NEST is very similar to NOW.. NEST is a much more advanced version and has a lot of additional features...

Thanks for the words,

We should have an integrated mutual fund platform once we start offering Zerodha Trader for equities as well..

That said, if the idea is to deploy excess cash, it makes so much more sense to invest it into Exchange traded funds...Easier to enter and exit and lesser cost compared to mutual funds...

Liquid bees and Gold ETF's have no STT .. Nifty ETF's have STT... The advantages of trading ETF's compared to mutual funds are pretty big... Like in the US, people will move away from Mutual funds to ETF's very soon...

Check out the following brochure on ETF's:

http://www.nseindia.com/content/press/prs_ETF_brochure.pdf

oh!! and I forgot, trading ETF's with our brokerage would be as good as paying nothing at all... ;)

Happy Trading...
